I crave a certain high,
the one I get
from the butterflies
that dance in
my stomach
whenever I see you.
My parents warned me
about drugs on the street,
but never about the ones
with a heartbeat.
"Sometimes, the drugs you crave the most aren't drugs at all"

I'm like a gate way drug.
I'm a starting point.
A late night bad decision.
The desperate act of a man feeling low.

*You want me because I'm the only thing
that wants you back.

Your lips
Are a mixture of tobacco
And mint gum
You’re like a drug
Addictive
So please
Give me one more hit

This world is a very wicked place
Made so by nasty and wretched people
But it is kept so by the quiet and frail ones.

Elizabeth Squires
she drove a block
through the middle
of my man and I
she performed it with a
callousness of ply

into his heart
she wormed her way
not a bit of feeling for
me did she display
all the time pretending
to be my friend
but only doing that
in benefiting her own end

she got what she
wanted so badly
my man fell into
her arms gladly
she hooked him
as a seductress
he was so readily
reeled into her caress

she robbed
she robbed
she robbed me blind
she pulled off the greatest robbery
robbing me blind

she took the love
of my life without any regard
only ever caring
for her home yard
she never gave a
thought to my emotions
when using her
sensual potions

my man she did
shrewdly impound
spinning her spider web
around and around
out of our bed
he did stray
she had the bait which
caused our love to fray

she robbed
she robbed
she robbed me blind
she pulled off the greatest robbery
robbing me blind
A poem written in the first person.

Seeing as I'm tired now it'll feel less
Less while I sintered a hot dress
Off of my messy pal

I'd love to live in a rat's nest
Besting the next rat next to me
Making meals of apathy
Slovenly licking off plague fleas
Please leave me alive living in a rat's nest
Living off of cheese and liberal arts degrees.

We don't care about today
but hope for a better tomorrow
someone told me that kind of hope is
the greatest source of sorrow
for we're locked up behind
glittering window panes
and through that tint we
find freedom in our chains...
unless we're color blind
Yet again am told hope is a good thing
that life's just the way it is
it's a bee, now and then it's going to sting
it's going to shine, rain or freeze...
We pray for a clear sky
albeit the cloudy comes with a blessing of rains
we'd rather say hay while the sun shines,
stuffed than share with
a hungry brother that pines.
We forgot what really matters
with  many broken hearts,
and a million souls in shatters
everything hurts,
the world is busy grieving...
I once read
funerals are not for the dead
but for the living...
We're all faithless
that's what we're believing
can't repent, we're all sinners
so who'll do the forgiving?
