A strip of barren land
Stark, forbidding
But I sat there and watched a flower grow
Bringing a bright splash of colour
To this dead land
Bringing a bright splash of hope
To a world sinking into the darkness

When I was falling apart,
You fixed my broken heart.
When I had the blade to my skin,
you loved and let me in.
I would've take a bullet for you...
but you were the one pulling the trigger.
You held the gun,
not knowing I was the one.
Your touch brought me happiness,
But my touch brought you pain.
But after all the madness,
you were the sunshine in my rain.
But you realized that you still loved me, even after the war.
I was the one drowning but you brought me back to shore.
You saved me. I saved you.
Being each others life support, is what pulled us through..
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I am back for good this time.. This poem was inspired by sam smith's song "life support" its my favourite song right now. It also tells the story of my current relationship. Pj and I have been dating two months. However we were dating a few years back. When we realized we were each other's life support , we decided to try again .

A Watoot
Candle lit room
Illuminated by moon light
A faint smile from the unknown lady of the night

I found her wandering in the boulevard
She's smiling for a person with unsatisfied carnal desires

She undresses and starts spreading sheets above us
Faint scent of her hair
A beauty, no doubt

I listened to her stories with a lit cigarette
How she used to be an honor student

She undresses me and kisses me
She knows where to lead her mouth and hands
She moves- making me quiver with her damp thighs

I will never know your name.
Only the shared cigarette and your story

She slides it in- Moaning, scraping, pulling, tugging.
I lost myself in ecstasy falling in my vivid dreams in the hedonist dimension of the universe.

*She grabbed my wallet and ran.
She opened it; and saw a picture of herself in my arms as a toddler.
heart break makes me disturbingly weird.

i took it back, today.
in that ***** office with the years of waste covering all the surfaces.
i slapped out of a box that held dulled wit and
and i stood so tall
that all my inches did their sun salute
and i took my space.
i took my broken, back
from the faded formica
wearing down from days and hours and shifts
and bodies
weighing
            down
                     on
                           it-
and when it said, 'i always wished i was marble'
i understood.
i always wished i had  marble too.
so i took the battered files
containing nowhere words
about the sick and dying
and i throw them
at the yellowed ceiling tiles
so they could shower down a jumble
of breaking through the wound barrier
and my heart beats until i moved around
like the quickening of this rebirth
and i leave
with my dignity
crumpled up with a tissue in my pocket.
And i leave with a humming in my ear
and all that i came with,
ill have it back now.
tied to a string, i attached to my belt loop
thrown in  bag that i hold by heart-
i take it back.
god-**** this succubus
but i will take this tattered woman back-
i will take this twisted spine
i will take this faded sense of righteousness
beautiful woman,
back.

You were always on the top shelf and I

Was not allowed to use the step stool.

Gazing at you longingly, I've

Embarrassed myself in my desperation.

You drop crumbs for me still.

17 blossoms and
each bud unfolds
the blossoming of
untold tales
Beat the rhythm
empty hand,
Iron cast chains
rattles command.

Ol' Boss Hogg,
baton raised
Self righteous fool
has need of praise.

In order that
he gain acclaim,
thinks with hate,
acts with shame.

Human beings,
commodity,
ships hold stacked
with those once free.

Bodies piled
upon high
you will not see
the strong ones die.

Scars embedded
on their backs
chained and shackled
to the racks.

We deal in branded
breathing stock,
Unload black vassal
from our docks.

Beat the rhythm
empty hands.
Iron cast chains
in far off lands.

We keep our skivvy,
wired hair blacks.
We work them hard,
we score their backs.

They do for us,
they work the field.
Grow the cotton,
pick the yield.

Keep the body,
take the mind.
Labour whatever's
left behind.

And if demeanour
does ever flinch.
We'll introduce you
Willie Lynch.

Beat the rhythm.
Empty hands
Iron cast chains.
Unfair demands.

Beat the rhythm,
shackled feet.
We take their worst
but can't be beat.
Anybody know who Willie Lynch was? Anybody? Raise your hand. No one? He was a vicious slave owner in the West Indies. The slave-masters in the colony of Virginia were having trouble controlling their slaves, so they sent for Mr. Lynch to teach them his methods. The word "lynching" came from his last name. His methods were very simple, but they were diabolical. Keep the slave physically strong but psychologically weak and dependent on the slave master. Keep the body, take the mind.  (Melvin B Tolson)

The heat had been Oppresive
Hung like a Curtain of Mist
Waiting for a Breeze to list
The Stillness that hung in the air
Should have been a warning of
What to beware, as Dark Clouds
Moving in from the west.....
Carrying the Cool air mass
As the rising heat fought
For control of the Cold
The wind speed Sheared
To levels well feared as
The Rumble of thunder
Shook the ground as
The branches of trees
Came crashing down
And a Lightening Strike
The Brightest of all Struck
To Turn night into Day
The way it rattled your Bones
And howling wind Moans
Gave rise to the feeling
That some one will die
With Lightening in the Valley
Thunder on the mountain
And Fire in the Sky
The Phenomena occurs when A Large amount of cloud Lightening creates a plasma field it splits the molecule into hydrogen and oxygen and Lightening ignites the fire and will remain until the plasma field collapses
Josiah Jack
never uttered a sound
when they dragged him away
from the scene.
when his poor body
was eventually found,
the treatment endured,
had been mean.

With no tongue in his head
they had left him for dead.

With a month
on his back,
he did indeed
contemplate.
Only sin
“he was black”
hence forth
this weary state.

They attacked in the night,
hooded and white.

All in all
he was
lucky
to be
breathing at all,
all because
he was plucky,
all because
he stood tall.

A ***** they said
should lower his head.

Were they hooded
for fear?
Were they hooded
in shame?
Most likely,
once covered,
they could hide
of their name.

If things were so right,
why hide out of sight?

Bravery isn't
a word for the ****,
Cowards,
this word comes to mind.
Bravery comes
when there's only one man,
not one
with ten more stood behind.

I will strike in a pack
with someone watching my back.

Their plan
was to ****,
this man
Josiah Jack.
Perhaps they
get a thrill
when someone
cannot fight back.

They get real loud
when they join with the crowd.

Josiah
knew well
that if he
raised a hand
his kin folk
would feel hell
from this
unruly band.

So he did not fight
but gave in to his plight.

They think
they were hidden
beneath that
white hood,
Josiah's hearing
is sound
and his
memory is good.

So when things are forgot,
he will take of his lot.

That's exactly
what happened,
as they lay
in their bed.
The flames hurled
with fury
the sky
filled with red.

This man barbequed them like fish on a rack
and no one put it down to Josiah Jack.

An ugly Ogre hid behind a tree
Just to see the Princess on her Steed
He thought the Princess So Lovely
He painted minerals on the Bark of a Tree

Each Day as She passed he etched Gently
Of her passing in beauty upon her Ride
He continued adding detail.....
On the Smooth bark side

A beautiful vision of his Love of Her
One day he was spotted*
By the Princesses Guard Who
Launched a spear into the Ogre

The Princess Rode over to see
And under the tree she saw
A Beautiful Painting of her on her Horse
When She realized soft tears fell

The Ogre Painted her Angelical
And from the Guard's Alarm
The Ogre was no harm.....
And the art of his Charm

Was eternally Lost...
The princess had the Painting
Hung in a small Garden...

Summer Heat...
It ripples off the Street
Like a Mirage of the Sea
Soccer ***** and the Voice
Of Mexican Children...

All shreaking at the Sound
Of the Ice Cream Vender
With Cold Treats coming around
The hum of thousands of AC's
Like the Swarming buzz of Bees

Working hard to keep their Cool
Hoses like green Snakes Coil
Sprinkler Heads Hissing
Their Message to the Grass
Rumble of a Harley Rolling by

Breaks the stillness of the heat
Its only Summertime........
On an American Street.....
