do any of you get a rush of elation
starting from that first notification
that sense of peer validation
from a selfie with a random quotation?
it fills me with so much frustration
that i can't go a single days duration
without posting content for admiration
each time needing more and more adoration
with each and every notification
for my self-esteem's preservation

Ripped off my training wheels.
Punctured my wheels.
Tore off the handles.

Hide and seek games.
Lost among the trees.
Never bothering to seek me.

Flying with my fairy wings.
Running with the magic stored in me.
Caught me and clipped me to the wall.

Witnessed me stack my lego blocks.
Kicked it down.
Crushing my castle.

Dancing with the sun.
Watched me sway off beat.
Burned my tutu to ashes.

The wind smiling with my superhero cape.
Locking you away.
But bad guys always break free.

Tag, you're it.
Chasing me away.
Falling every time I try to escape.

Drawing you Father's day cards.
Watched as you crumpled them up.
Tossing me away.

A poet goes
Hoping to get just one
View---- a poet is born
By the millisecond
A window of
opportune.
Some poets dream
Of Mars
Some the stars, sun and moon.
Some are rich and some are poor-----
Some have houses
Yet no money for a bedroom door
Some poets write with pens
Others write with their teeth,
Other poet's write with pain and excite
Some poets write rapping streets
Some poets write of amor, some write of drug use
Of their future's in store.
Some poets write for fun and play
Some write of their deaths
Some in June and may
Some poet's change their lives
As others write sweet lullaby's
Some poets are me and you
The someone's are somebody's
That someone is you.

My words have stopped
My pen is dry
I've so much to say
I try and try
To put down on paper
My thoughts and feelings
My brain is a puddle
Eyes turned up to the ceiling
Inspiration has left me
Turmoil instead
A black hole engulfs my
Poor battered head
Clutching at adverbs
They slip through my fingers
Searching for rhymes
Procrastination lingers
Abandoned and lost
Alone with the page
It stares blankly at me
No attempt to assuage
The assault of despair
Lurking within
I can think of one option
Open the gin .....!!

(C) Pixievic
Well we've all been here .....!!

Both in love with
And drowning in
Words

They are freedom
Salvation
And the most advance weaponry

Words are powerful
Able to heal old wounds
And rend flesh from the heart

Each a line a thread
Or a tear
In the fabric of life

Able to inflict
Mortal wounds
With one lash

Able to imbue
Peace
In a tone

Unlimited hues
Of unlimited descriptions
Words paint the best pictures

Both in love with
And drowning in
Words

Nights like tonight are the hardest;
Clear bluish black skies-
the deepest velvet cradling the full moon...
These nights are hardest, because I
still remember her silhouette
in silvery moonlight; My angel,
my darling, sleeping peacefully
as I cradle her close...
A dream come true, but now-
just a dream; One borne of
clear bluish black skies-
the deepest velvet cradling the full moon...
Nights like tonight are the hardest.
Lost between the moon and New York city...

When you were conceived the world made room for you
-a space opened out
and when you were born and began to grow the space enlarged to accommodate your growing needs
and all love asks of you is to be a space where others may find some form of shelter, a generous heart, the unity of Mankind,  a place of peace.

I'm not talking about me
How could I matter
Against the needs of the many
But you know?
You never really find
The truth you're looking for
And when it's all said and done
The doubt resides
In those obscure places
Etched in the walls of your brain...

You'll know the story of a poet, by his poems.
