Albeit starts out each verse and albeit means ( although) in archaic form.. And for you who can't read fancy poem it reads as such.....

i.

Albeit mine breath's art fading
Still mine life, to mine wife;
To her I'm dedicating.

ii.

Albeit the Sunshine's leaving
Mine soul is bright;
And through the night, I'll be singing amour' repeating.

iii.

Albeit soon I shalt succumb
Resteth thine head, I am not dead;
Forever I liveth inside thee
Mine chosen one.

I thanketh thee
For thine loyalty;
And all of thine
Care.

Just because
After mine death
I won't be seen;
Doth not mean mine spirit won't be here.

Be  strong in the Lord and the pow'r of His might,
As you tread into regions unknown every day;
He will fight every foe as you trust in  His  love,
And be bold in your faith as  you go all the way.

Fight , fight with courage firm,
Fight, fight  you'll never fail,
Sure the foe in fear will flee,
By  His might you'll ever prevail.

Be led by the Spirit of God every day
To  discern all the wiles of the foe in the tray;
Gird your ***** with the truth and renounce every lie,
God is sure to confirm every word that you say.

Take hold of His shield that will quench every dart,
And with stand  all the arms that the foe doth prepare;
For no weapon shall  prosper against servants true,
God is their righteousness; heritage great and rare.

Oh  watch! for the foe roams about to devour,
Whom resist strong in faith , giving  glory to God,
Do not doubt , do not fear, but be firm in your stand.
And destroy all his works with the sword of the Word.

Fight sin, fight e'en Satan and sickness and death,
With the  shout of the King over pow'r every foe;
You have pow'r both  to bind and to rend in His Name,
So  be strong in the Lord , and His might as you go.

( in extremis ) means dying....

Poem reads for ones who can't read fancy writing

Physically in extremis
If tommorow's mine last;
I'll be watching over thee lass.

Whilst other's hope for life
I'm picturing death;
Verily I'm a freak
One who long's for the lighted tunnel's guest's.

If I had known it was the LAST time I would climb on your mountains

If I had known it was the LAST time I would lay in your dew misted valley

If I had known it was the LAST time I would feel your warmth seducing my skin

If I had known it was the LAST time I would taste your sweet waters

If I had known it was the LAST time I would breathe your spring flowers

If I had known it was the LAST time...

I would have traced each step until the path became clear

I would have laid in your valley until the morning was near

I would have soaked in your sunshine and never be cold

I would have  bottled your waters to drink when I'm old

I would have breathed you all in and then hold my breath

And the memory of you I'ld  take to my death
I invite comments good and bad! My skin is leather. I'm a novice and wish to improve!

In the silence and misunderstandings that separate us
I need to believe there is a place where we can meet
a place of mottled light where the only shadows
are painted by ancient firs who conspiratorially lean
open, welcoming hands down to greet us.

It is a place where all thoughts of judgment and jealousy
are simply too petty for consideration
love being implicit in the moisture of the air
words are unnecessary for our eyes reveal
everything we ever want to say.

Fear and resentment are unknown here
we refuse to recognize them if they slither
into this haven while we are sleeping
restful, innocent, unworried
history does not exist, the moment held is enough.

If this vision were dispelled, my soul could not sustain
reality’s weight.  I would be battered, fragile
as a spiraled whelk on deceptively smooth rocks
splintered by hate and unwillingness
to be as the sea, fluid and graceful, all encompassing.

Will you come with me here?
Or is the hour too late?
We can meet in this hollow sacred space
and begin again, let loose misconceptions
clouding the life we share.

The path is faint
trust your weary heart
it will lead us to each other.
I'm new to HP and my experience here has been amazing.  Thank you to all who have supported and read my work.  Beloved Oath - you were the first person to "like" one of my poems and I will be forever grateful for your kindness.  To those of you who have had a bad experience here, come find those of us who support each other and create a sacred space in which to share and be heard.

Then our love blossoms,
With pure eternity flame,
Our love, perpetual.

i.

At the fore of the gateway
Precious stone's exhibited;
Her beauty and grace.

ii.

A crystal shined gold
Floweth from her soul;
Mine soulmate of heaven's place.

iii.

From her feet
To her waist;
A wine of jasper grape's.

iv.

Inside her ambience rested
Sapphire, chalcedony
Emerald, sardonyx
Sardius, chrysolite
Beryl, topaz,
Chrysoprasus,
Jacinth,
Amethyst.

v.

I was awestruck
God gaveth me unadulterated holiness;
I am verily hooked
To mine queen, mine Jane, mine happiness.

tiny dancers
came swirling by
in the form of leaves
falling from the sky
and as I watched them
twist and turn
falling down
so light and free
I couldn't help but feel
they were performing
just for me.

tiny dancers
garbed in autumn's array
of gold and oranges and reds
on this windy day--
and all I could think
as they kept coming down
was that I wanted to join in
to dance around
and feel as beautiful,
light and free
as all these tiny dancers
surrounding me...
So many leaves cascading down and it made me think of little fairies dancing for joy on this windy autumn day...
