T'is a silence that summons the Gods

past the swan lakes, skies
pondering deep in the stars

floating in the clouds, homes
of distant them dreams

past this temple that was ever closed
un-noticed as we walked past
the teals, hand in hand

when the horizon is lit in hundred
colours, come wading to me
past the milling crowds

our words echo endlessly
on the wind-swept streets
by the lamp-shades
and autumn leaves

in the old book that was never opened
the fragrance of a red rose
pressed dry to this page
that spoke the story of love

night of the evening suns
bit of love noir here

It only takes a split second
We are not invincible
Fate decides
The turns we take
The bad moments to look at our phones
Fate decides
Whether we see tomorrow's sunrise.
See our family one last time.

A young life taken
A mother is shaken
My eyes have opened
It could have been me
It could have been any of us.
But 18 years young
Lost to the world
Because
Fate decides.
I just got word that a guy I've known since preschool passed away today in a car accident. Prayers to his family. He was only 18 years old with an entire life ahead of him.

John
i saw her standing there, laughing and smiling
i looked down and filled my lungs with clean air
it was funny how in her smile i could see her crying
i looked up again and tried my best not to stare
she looked my way and ran her fingers through her hair

her pretty clothes looked a little old but i could see
that she didn't care because if she did she would cease to be
as i came closer then i could feel a sense of urgency
from within me i tried to quench the flames of unbridled glee
she smiled wider then, white teeth glimmered back at me
"what's your name?" i said, standing like a willow tree

as i heard her words for the first time, already hoping it wasn't the last
the vibrations from her throat caressed my eardrums violently
a little shaken and surprised i could feel the mistakes of my past
as they rose up and greeted me rather harmoniously
i realized i knew that they now meant nothing to me
The news arrived
Of the new arrival.
We grant him
All the Rights,
Privileges,
And Responsibilities
Accorded to
A son, brother,
And grandson.
May his endowment
Of love and honour
Stand him in good stead.
Always good news.
small secrets
whispered under the covers
candle wax and promises
you will keep forever
ashes to ashes, dust to dust
faery wings and pixie dust
cake with milk
all eaten up
sneaking a lick of honey
and rich butter
I'll never grow up and wither
I refuse
Murderous rampage avoided, I spare you the shame
But got ya crew duckin’ for cover with the troops I deploy
Yellin’ and shootin’ at each other, no longer a game
But more a rumble in the jungle, better run jungle boy

It’s Brotha Cyrus on the dock, I’m the loch ness
Scorchin’ the earth with all my hotness, see you sweat on the block
I’m the reason for lemonade stands, you better be chillin’
Population feelin’ the tension like a storybook villain

Robbin’ a pharmacy? Can’t afford medication?
Well pay the price to emulate cuz I ain’t givin’ advice
I ain’t a teacher but I educate, you speculate
How can a playa get any bigger with the lack of a vice?

Inspiration came from the West
Cause my writin’ is lyrical
The swagger came from the East
Come in and join in the feast

With heavy steps I walk the earth
Disturbin’ ya peace, you in danger
Anger eruptin’, showin’ greatness since birth

I feel like 20 million dollars, defyin’ the physics
Better behave in my mansion ‘fore I limit ya visits
Ya girl gave me her digits… my bad, terrible timin’
I'm half amazin' thanks to credible rhymin'.
Pure fun. Had an amazingly fun time writing this. Hope you enjoy :)
A simple caress... tenderly holding you in my arms
while we slowly escape the harsh realities of the world....
