Of all the random movement
In the world
It seems no one has time
To notice your struggles
Anymore than one is saddened
By a broken sidewalk
Or demolished daisy
And now I know
How far from here
I have to go
The thought of you
Causes me to tremble
Put in simplest terms -
So much for fine words
No one can live up to them
Let me wake from this
Dream of life
And fly finally past the darkness
That reaches out for the darkness
In an instant
An instance
Can change
the world
from its
present form
and a
sea of change
can deluge
the existence
to what was
Tide turns
to a catastrophe
washing away
the memories
to a distant land
much nearer
to the
horizon
weakened soul
waiting for
the sunkissed
moment
and wait
for an instance
in life
to look at
the brighter side

hold my hand
The more I stand here
     in this downpour,
The more I question if
the water is still flowing, or

if it's just my tears

Dripping down my frail body,
Cascading over each prominent rib,
And coursing through each protruding hip bone,

highlighting each defect with His gleaming smile
as if He knows something I don't.

And I wonder, just how many times
the Water will try to slip his slithering hand
around my wrist,
Before my essence follows Him down the drain.

And I wonder, just how many times
I have to hear how fragile
I must be
  Before my spirit melts entirely.

And I wonder, just how many times
  I'll be told how small
I am
Before my soul fades into nothingness

and I forget I exist as a person,
         not just
a Skeleton

for my father
on his *
90th
birthday

an eternity
could not
contain
the love a daughter
can sustain

she is there
to lend a hand
she will always
understand

she may be
flawed
and have a will
but she
cares
she's with
you still

she wants you
to know
to see
that your friend
she'll
ALWAYS
BE

she will always
be a part
she will always
give her

~~~< HEART >~~~
much love
your daughter
