think of all the people you've ever met,
and all the conversations that have ever left an impact on you.
think of all the thoughts that those words prompted in you,
and all the actions they led to,
which went and touched more people than you can count.
innumerable words and thoughts,
little cosmic representations of the
souls of people touching us
every.single.day.
your life is forever and inexplicably interconnected with a million others.
forever intertwined, forever in tandem; forever solitary.

too many poems
too many poets
describing the
same **** feelings
and yet
throughout the centuries
none of us
have ever found
the right words
// spent my whole life tryna put it into words //

thank you so much for the daily ♡
Golden Light Was Poured Into My Eye,
As It Enveloped My Shaking Fingers.
It Wrapped Around My Hoarse Voice,
As Though It Were An Elegant Scarf,
Keeping Me From The Cold.
The Light Found Itself Inside Of Me,
Sweeping Away The Dust Of Despair;
Ridding Me Of The Shadows Lurking
Behind My Heart.
Beams Poured Into My Mind,
Slicing Through The Grime And Grit
Of The Moments Which Chose To
So Selfishly Define Me.
Colors Emerged From My Parted Lips,
The Hues Which Have Been Treasured
Memories Of Autumn And Evenings.
A Metamorphosis Had Occured.
I Materialized From A Gray Husk
With Brilliant, Shimmering Wings.
I Am Radiant.
I Am Jubilant.
I Am Reborn.
When Someone Passes, They Are Reborn Into Something More Beautiful Than We Can Comprehend.
#2
What
            Happens
                             To
                                   Those
                                              Lives
                                                        Which
                                               Were*
                                                Cut
                                               *Short?
                                                   Do
                                        They
                           Grow
         Back?
#2 will be missed. The softball community will always remember you. Please, everyone, cherish the life you live. You never realize how valuable time is before it is gone.
You were alive
Millions of years ago
As the stars
As a tiny amoeba
A primitive zygote
With a group of cyanobacteria dancing
In brackish waters, ready to explode
Onto land with hands and sweat glands
And here you are today
Bipedal, vocal, resourceful and continuing
to evolve
beautifully
I need a vacuum under my desk
I've made a mess
Pulling mascara from my lashes
Letting it slip through my fingers
Tea leaves that evaded their
Somewhat dangerous fate
Being boiled and then drank
Pieces of plastic from the rim of
A bottle of 5-Hour Energy
Extra strength
Filters from cigarettes that I've cut
Because they didn't give a strong enough puff
Post-Its crumpled on their way to the basket
They sadly didn't make it
There's no reason to mourn though
They're inanimate
Paper-clips that I completely ruined
That day I had a strong magnet
I wanted to see how many I could
Unravel and line-up
Like magic
If we never saw the sun,
Would we think the night is dark?

Or if we never felt hope,
Would we still feel such pain?
