I saw you look over at me
My arm across your chest
Fingers tracing tiredly
I felt the breath you took
It hitched
I saw you pause when you looked
Right before kissing
My forehead
Your chest tightened
My senses were heightened
I and you know it to be true
That kiss means
I love you

she was once so beautiful.
her skin would glow,
her laugh was contagious,
her presence in a room would never be unnoticed.
but then.....
pain...
so much pain filled her life in such short time,
she lost control
and she lost herself.
she decided numbness
would be better
than feeling all together.
she concealed the scars on her hands.
her secret wonderland would be her escape.
the sting of the needle,
the rush of pure nirvana....

she is no longer beautiful.
her skin clings to her bones,
thirsty for a fix, hungry for the sting.
her presence is still noticed by others,
but the glares now radiate disgust.
she doesn't notice,
she is too numb to understand my pain,
she is too lost to feel my tears,
and she is too far from my reach
for me to
save her.
With skin the color of coffee what I wouldn't give to have a cup of her
Putting my lips to hers taking long slow sips warming my insides
Her fragrance is like freshly brewed aromatherapy healing my soul.

Love poem.
I am the sunlight
That causes your pupils to contract
I am the parade in your iris
Postponed by chance of cataract

I am within one of your senses
For the first time in leisurely years
I take form and travel down your cheek
Wiped away swiftly, lest I interfere

Drowning in double vision
Only one of me is real
I am the glimpse of reality in this fantasy
I am the love you close eyes to conceal
a love
vividly transparent to each other
where our souls kiss when we aren't looking
where we never feel alone together

I'm chainsmoking your breath
Filling my lungs with your oxygen
I'm kissing your sweat
Using your body fluids like glycogen
I'm tasting your skin
My lips exploring every inch of you
I see your beauty within
I feel **** when seen from your view
I'm dressed in your shadow
When you meet my body from behind
Everytime you have to go
I wanna hit pause and then rewind
As soon as we're uncovered
I know we'll both be wetter
I love being your lover
When our bodies snare together
As she trembled from pain and cold
I had no verbal sedatives for her nerves
I found no right words
So I just held her

I held her so close, saying no promises
As the cold winds whostled in the night
I hoped our hearts could communicate
She was hurt and destroyed inside

She spoke of sorrow
Hope was faded away, her strength wasting away,
A day or two she'd blacked out
Anger, deprivation, fear

They were drowning her in a sea of despondency
My melancholic arms wrapped her
As the bitter cold night shifted
Trying to give her as much heat as I could

I never let go of her
As the earth span us close
I was helplessly wordless
Useless but she held on closer

I just held her
I let her tears drench her
'You are a survivor'
My unspoken words warmed her

Her trembling ceased
As we drifted asleep
We walk up to a flicker of hope
As I kissed her in the sunrise
Unforgettable memories
