Accept no limits
And we'll shine like the diamonds
That our tied hands mine
Mysidian Bard Aug 2016
Ancient distant stars
A window into the past
That lights present skies
Mysidian Bard Aug 2016
Under stars
With eyes that brightly shine
I was yours
And you were mine

Summer days
That never seemed to end
Were numbered days
Too few to spend

When the heart breaks
When the soul aches
When the love is gone

Then where do we belong?

The way to love
A path we couldn't find
A twisted maze
Too tangled to unwind

But our waves found
Each others empty shores
Footprints marked
Once lonely bedroom floors

When the heart breaks
When the soul aches
When the love is gone

Then where do we belong?

Under stars
With eyes that brightly shine
I was yours
And you were mine

One more night
We only just pretend
That autumns breeze
Won't mean the summers end

Whatever it takes
Whatever fate makes
If we just hang on

I'll stand at hell's gate
Carry the weight
If we just stay strong

And if the heart breaks
If the soul aches
If the love is gone

Tell me where do we belong?

Let's roll on like gypsies fly
Pack our things and say goodbye
Time is short so lets make haste
Let's roll on without a trace

Let's roll on across the plains
Making love and daisy chains
See the world as it was meant to be
Let's roll on until we're free

In our lifetimes
We walk such a thin line
We have such a short time
Before we are gone
Let's roll on

Lets roll on across the sands
Travel to a distant land
Settle down and plant a tree
See what it will grow to be

In our lifetimes
We walk such a thin line
We have such a short time
Before we are gone
Let's roll on

Let's roll on a simple prayer
On the wind and through the air
And when we're tired and hopes are meek
May we find the lives we seek

In our lifetimes
We walk such a thin line
We have such a short time
Before we are gone

If there's reason
To live through the heartaches
To learn from the mistakes
And see the next dawn
Let's roll on

My friend the giant sleeps in a field
where dreams, posies and grass grow

The wind gusts blow over him and pass through
down to the meadow from which the water flows

From meadow to lake, from lake to sea
the wind and water walk by and by

Tidal forces drive one to drive another
by an eternal force that never dies

Through night and day all over the world
from skyscrapers to farmers hay

Follow the wind on it's endless flight
back to where the giant lay

Falling softly through the sky
as clouds and tears and lives drift by
all that was and all that is
and all that's mine and all that's his

but I'd still choose you
even when you don't choose me
even though I know
that we can't be

I thought my eyes could make you see.

Sailing deep beneath the waves
the light twists outwards and concave
a clear reflection and a stain
of all my love and all my pain

but I'd still choose you
even when you don't choose me
even though I know that we

that we can't be

I thought my eyes would make you see.

Do not disturb the sleepers,
let be the dreams they make.
Surfing in the slumber
is like trying to catch a wake.

The nightcrawlers will **** their brains
until there is no more to be had.
The defenders stand by;
tall, strong, armor clad.

Soon they engage in battle,
a spectacle for space and time.
To the victor go the spoils,
and untainted mind.
