Tasting the sweet taste of every bitter tear
That’s swallowed up by my drowning heart
As it gasps for air
I drown it
In despair
Trying to shut out and numb its pain
I’d rather do it alone than ask for help
But my heart fights to live again
Asking to live again
Fighting to feel some pain
And FEEL again…
I was overwhelmed at the time and didn't want to cry. So, I suppressed my feelings. Then, I prayed. Felt relieved, because I was reminded that I do have feelings. Hiding them won't solve anything...

From the time we met
Till before we split
I always wanted what was best
Though our end was not the greatest
Seeing where you're at now
I feel peace
I'm glad you're doing well
May we one day meet again
Old friend...
A poem dedicated to an old friend, that showed we are okay, but don't have to speak of old things again.

These words may have been used
Several times in different
Songs
In many tones
And
Poems
But never from my own unique soul
And so I say these three little words
I love you
Learning to love people

Your vocal cords
Please my body
As I hear the different tones...

Hearing you is so soothing
My heart is filled with bottled expressions
But once enlightened, feel amazing!

Your voice is just so...
Beautiful.

When the sun would go down
Your smile brought it back up

When the sun would go down
Even a smirk made it worthwhile

When the sun would go down
And the night came about
Your face in the midst of all adversities
Shone like stars
The poem is about being with a person in all moments of life: the good, the bad and the in between.
