Dust

She Writes
She can’t tell who will leave
and who will stay.
Instead she chooses
To push them all away.

Being vulnerable
Is her greatest fear.
Her heart is too guarded
To let someone near.

So scared to be loved
Afraid to trust.
If she is broken again
She may crumble to dust.

she was dying
out of sobs
to weep for him
while he was running
out of curses
to write for himself
ever found yourself with someone on the same page but of two different books?

dear best friend,
thank you to the one who made my depressing life 10 times better
to the one who'd always listen to my endless rants
to the one who always understood me
to the one that i can talk to about anything
to the one that became my best friend in less than a week
to the one who accepted me
thank you Deanna

dear ex-best friend,
thank you to the one who stabbed my back and taught me i shouldnt trust everyone
to the one who made me let go the one i loved
to the one who attempted to change me
to the one who never loved me for me
to the one one who ripped everything away from me
to the one that i hate
thank you ava

I know a girl. Who’s not really in love, she just wants to be loved, she craves the attention love brings. But she’s not in love. I know a girl who’s been hurt so many times she’s numb to it. She puts on a front she thinks no one notices but I do because I know the real her. I'm her.
Saw this somewhere on an app .. thought I might share

I sincerely hope that one day I'll be able to forgive myself for not loving me enough, and for hurting me, and through forgiveness, learn to love myself just as much as I want to be loved by others.

you see,
that’s the problem
with being the strong one
who always offers others
a hand
everyone thinks that you
don’t need a hand and
they think you have lots
of surplus energy and no
worries

She Writes
You asked me why I like you
But I didn’t want to tell
Some of my reasons are cheesy...
But here is why I fell

I love the way your lips curve
When I make you smile
It makes me want to pull you close
And kiss you for awhile

I love the way your eyes twinkle
When you talk about things you love
I truely believe
You are a gift from above

I love that you are compassionate
You have such a big heart
That was the first thing I noticed
Right from the start

I love the way it feels
When you hold me tight
I finally feel safe
Like I could sleep through the night

I love that you don’t judge me
For my less than perfect self
That is more attractive
Than any amount of wealth

There are so many more reasons
But I’ll start with just this few
Maybe someday
I’ll give this poem to you

:)
