and mankind came together
on that July day

as they watched the historic
landing on the moon's lay

it was an event every corner
of the earth shall recall

the scientific endeavor
did so marvelously enthrall
To love you is to burn:
a wildfire moving boldly,
desperately,
searing through my raw heart.

To love you is to drown:
my lungs opening
and collapsing,
flooded by your restless current.

Loving you and losing you
are two pains that bleed as one.
And  those who have yet to find their happily ever after,
Are just going through the tough chapters of their tale.
Inspiried by the classic of The Little Princess
I’m The One,
But so are You.
It all depends
On your point of view.

I write,
You read.
I sow
The seed.

No love songs
You will get from me.
Nothing sentimental:
Bull-dropping free.

We share this world
You and I.
Together we can
Reach the sky.

Your imagination I will seek
To fire.
Whenever I can,
I will inspire.

Well, dear Viewer-Reader,
It’s time to go.
I hope you enjoyed
This “Poetry Show”.

Been listening to Chuck Berry again!
Hello, my friend.
...Why think like that?
Now, be assured,
I'm not that bad
There's nothing wrong with having fun
Though, once you do, you cannot run
...Did I forget to mention that?
Oh, well, too late
Guess that's too bad

Ah, from the start, it felt so good
But you were trapped there where you stood
You played the game
Now you are mine
I have to thank you for your time

Another down
A point for me!
Who will play next?
I guess we'll see

*from my Emerge collection, being poem #6.

Snare was and remains one of my favorite poems I have ever written.
It was the first truly deeply personal poem I'd ever written, and of the first I truly enjoyed writing or was genuinely inspired to write--of the first I was lead to write by The Holy Spirit.
At least 2 or 3 years after its original creation, I vastly expanded Snare into a song complete with vocal melody accompanying a full and elaborate lyric. While existing mostly in voice recording form, written text, or simply in my head, I also have had many different ideas for instrumental parts, effects, a music video, an album cover, and more, if it were ever to reach that point of being completely produced in the form in which I envision its true fulfillment. The song version is one of my favorite songs I have ever written, and quite possibly in fact my #1 favorite. It is also, by far, the longest song I have ever written with finished lyrics & vocals to. When completed and recorded, it would likely clock in at 6 minutes or longer, as an epic, despite being one of my shortest poems in its original form.

Three hours later
you're sitting downstairs
I wasn't home
I wasn't there

Three hours later
We walk to my door
I walk inside
and stare at the floor

Three hours later
I pace back and forth
you watch and I wonder
if you care anymore

Three hours later
I turn out the light
You don't want to leave
I don't put up a fight

Three hours later
you pull me back in
I need to get up
but the light is too dim

Three hours later
I know there's no use
I don't care enough
and I have no excuse

Three hours later
Three hours without you
And yet I don't mind
but I know that you do.
i'm the girl who tares herself apart
because she tries to find something she's missing

i'm the girl who is scared of her own mind
because i don't know how to control it

i'm the girl who used to cry herself to sleep
because i didn't know how to be "good enough"

i'm the girl who has a secret that will change everything

i'm the girl who gets stronger every fall

i'm the girl who makes jokes about things i really don't think are funny

i'm the girl who doesn't know what love feels like
but can give it to whoever needs it

i'm the girl who's more than an age

i'm more then what you think of me
