There the lovers go as opposites the
yin the yang the brawn the beauty the strong
and willing , to where design and elegance
and genetics draws nigh on intellect, to sighs
and utter lust to strength, away to  enduring beauty
through luck patience forethought
plans give way to feelings,
day gives way to dark and shadow
to perfume and essences our brethren our ancestors
fell too, as all days do pass from reality into
dreams to parlaying second glances to quick gasp breaths
in gardens roses swaying whispering,
Yes.

Depression?

Depression?
It's like a vacuum in your soul
Where you can't breathe.

Depression?
It's like disguising yourself as a daydream
When the nightmare is inside you.

Depression?
Is when you fall into the depths of your fears
And never be able to crawl out of it.

Depression?
Is repeating, every single day:
"I am fine."
You want me to write for you
But what can I say?
There are no words I can put onto paper
That will not open your eyes
To the things that I have kept hidden
For so long.
Out of shape
I bend slowly
into an old
man.

I am
Nothing more
Than a bag of bones.
My rib cage
Is a prison you rend
In twain, tear the mesh,
And sift fruitlessly through.
I am
An empty shell
You discarded;
All unraveled ends
And frayed edges.
I am
Orange peels
Carrying the essence
Of something sweet
As an echo of scent
And color-
-I will
Return to the earth
And start again.
Sorry for the long hiatus, been busting my **** to make a dent in some school loans, but I promise to post a bit more consistently. Thank you to the people who emailed and asked me to continue.

I called the lone parrot passing over my head

from the blue
i won't fly to you

it said

forgot the love i gave?

but you made me your slave
to repeat your chosen line
to voice your chosen tune
my life was not mine

so from the blue
i won't ever fly to you

she affirms the parrot escaped

but i know one dull afternoon in March
she let the bird fly away
being too weary of the chosen line.

Door slams-- it wasn't me
Echo of a memory

Haunted past means haunted home
Down the halls the spirits roam

Shadows dance across these walls
Screams running down the halls

Demons whisper in my head
Monsters play beneath the bed

Skeletons in closets
Make for restless ghosts
To all my long lost nightmares
I am now playing host
