Jika cinta adalah air,
maka kamulah dahagaku

Jika cinta adalah padi,
maka kamulah lapar ku

Jika cinta adalah rumah,
maka kamulah tujuanku

Jika cinta adalah hati,
maka kamulah sakitku

Jika cinta adalah hidup,
maka kamulah matiku

Jika cinta adalah waktu,
maka kamulah hidupku

Jika cinta adalah jiwa,
maka kamulah ragaku

Jika cinta adalah kekuatan,
maka kamulah lemah ku

Jika cinta adalah masa tua,
maka kamulah sehat ku

Jika cinta adalah kesalahan,
maka kamulah sempurnaku

Jika cinta adalah perpisahan,
maka kamulah lahirku

Jika cinta adalah kamu,
maka itulah kesalahan terbesarku

Overdevelopment in Bali
The Farmers lose valuable water
For use in the hotels

The mushrooming developments have clogged irrigation channels
To rice fields inland,
Often driving them up and driving up the cost of tending the land

The shrinking amount of land available
Has threatened Bali's self-sufficiency in rice

Tourism benefits the economy
But the environment should also be respected

A String of letters
The Height of a man stand in the middle of a lush padi field
They spell, "Not for sale,"
Gede Agus says the words
Are meant to scare off investors

This is his land
He inherited from his ancestors

Development must be halted

I raced across from field to field,
Felt the wind sweeping past my face;
Feast’d my eyes on the golden yield:
On the padi dancing with grace.

A rain-drop rested on my palm,
A silver-drop from heavens high.
Nature’s cool freshness is a balm,
Rests the mind aft resting the eye.

I saw a youthful sunny face
Whose eyes were flushed with a soft light;
As at it I did gape and gaze,
The world grew dim, the face grew bright.

I shook my head, I blinked my eyes;
Across the face danced a soft glow.
It smiled and dimmed into the skies;
I looked everywhere high and low.

I saw it thrice, I lost it thrice;
I missed it a hundred times more.
It seemed to tease with gentle eyes,
And with parting smiles left me sore.

Nazar mein kuch nahi tha Dil mera shiddat ke ranjh mein tha...

Kuch aisi kaifiyat mein chal padi Chalna muqaddar tha...

Yun hi chalti rahi, main *** kahan par Yeh na kuch socha...
Jo peeche dekha maine ghar bohot hi door tha choota...

Mere atraaf mein bas tha bayabaan aur veeraana...

Achanak dasht o sehra mein woh aaya ek masiha tha...
Badi hi door se dikhta mujhe us shaks ka saaya...

Mujhe jaana kahan aur kis tarah Yeh ramz tha pehchaana...
Ke saathi ban rahe the "Ain" tere Na Tanha aalam tha...

Safar ab khushnuma tha har taraf manzar suhana tha..
Ke ab bhi chal rahi *** par safar ab na tha anjaana..

Do you want corruption eradicated?
We need to wake up from this dream called "Niger Company Limited"
Else corruption will fester unabated
With accusations and counter accusations
Today, like yesterday, they tried to bridle the horse
That this also may be swept under the rug
"Na padi padi Government we dey"
Rest in peace to the fight against corruption in "Naija"

This is now a charade, a national comic
With mind shattering evidences rendered
We still found ourselves here, but why?
Of a truth my kinsmen, "There was a country"
These dis-honourable honourable already  shared the country for themselves
Here them shouting "It's okay, it's okay. What is okay, please?
All these drama kings and fainting thieves
"Kpomkpi, una time go reach. Cell na turn by turn"

They fed on our Niger Delta and polluted our lands
Subjected my people to extreme poverty and hardships
Left our children stranded in white man's lands
Watch, they will soon retreat to a "Closed door" in a bid to sell us a dummy
Sometimes I crave for a Ghadafi to sanitise our lands
I think we will just be better of if we are re-colonised
The mud is thrown up and now it will stick
What a master stroke from a student of Robert Greene

Today is a sad day in this animal kingdom we call "A country"
The screen play today is epic and deserves an oscar
When they eat our yams they are healthy
When it is time for accountability they feign sickness
As I play and recall the scenes of today in my head
I fear for this generation and the one to come
Before you retire tonight, please say a prayer for Nigeria
Because from the beginning, it was not so...
GEIGA VIA TANARO Apr 2018
Sore, pasca hujan turun.

Dia; temanku menatap nanar muka ungaran.
Udara bukan main sejuk, tapi ceritanya bukan main menusuk.

Aku suka petrikor.
Ia selalu berhasil mengundang rona juga lara.
Salah satu anugerah tersederhana yang pernah tercipta seakan hanya untuku saja.

My homeland when this day I see,
Looks like a fairyland to me;
With its bright and dazzling lights,
Shining everywhere at night.
Beautiful my homeland fore’er shall be;
May its fairy-lights shine eternally;
Increase may its fame and glory,
As is now my country’s story.
Higher and higher its buildings grow;
How changed it is from eight years ago!
Vegetable-fields are many,
They’re grown instead of padi.
Many too are cars, tramcars, and buses –
They drive carefully for life is precious.
Streets, houses, things and all,
Are not the same anymore.

lanjutan dari cerita itu, tidak mungkin bahagia

-----

,
           mungkin salahku untuk itu
andai saat itu semua tambo aku tampung
kebas hati saat itu untuk temurun
ujaranku delusi, kamu mengakui

tergusur semua perasaanku

ditempatmu padang rumput berubah menjadi padi hijau
ditempatku menjadi gurun tandus
dua itu tidak akan menyatukan yang beda
hehe gpp sih

The land of palms and padi fields#
I've left--- vestiges of many a past scene
still they reign.  Time is an endless thread
its signature is inscribed upon my very skin-

   here in Down Under terrain
life takes on a different accent
I seem to have lost  part of my voice
  hours in silent isolation spent-

by the Yarra *ageless waters glisten
it's the fresh visitation of spring
children dance and laugh before mothers' eyes
but different songs I hear them sing-

of my youth I do ponder
  my rambling and fun-filled years
wading in knee-deep waters in search
of frogs and fishes-- such thoughts now bring me tears.
