"louis" poems
The line didn't move, though there were not many people in it. In a half-hearted light the lone agent dealt patiently, noiselessly, endlessly with a large dazed family ranging from twin toddlers in strollers to an old lady in a bent wheelchair. Their baggage was all in cardboard boxes. The plane was delayed, the rumor went through the line. We shrugged, in our hopeless overcoats. Aviation had never seemed a very natural idea. Bored children floated with faces drained of blood. The girls in the tax-free shops stood frozen amid promises of a beautiful life abroad. Louis Armstrong sang in some upper corner, a trickle of ignored joy. Outside, in an unintelligible darkness that stretched to include the rubies of strip malls, winged behemoths prowled looking for the gates where they could bury their koala-bear noses and **** our dimming dynamos dry. Boys in floppy sweatshirts and backward hats slapped their feet ostentatiously while security attendants giggled and the voice of a misplaced angel melodiously parroted FAA regulations. Women in saris and kimonos dragged, as their penance, behind them toddlers clutching Occidental teddy bears, and chair legs screeched in the food court while ill-paid wraiths mopped circles of night into the motionless floor.

Flight to Limbo
I see trees of green, red roses, too, I see them bloom, for me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world. I see skies of blue, and clouds of white, The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night And I think to myself What a wonderful world. The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky, Are also on the faces of people going by. I see friends shaking hands, sayin', "How do you do?" They're really sayin', "I love you." I hear babies cryin'. I watch them grow. They'll learn much more than I'll ever know And I think to myself What a wonderful world Yes, I think to myself What a wonderful world

What a wonderful world ( Louis armstrong lyrics) makes me cry...
Bonjour, hello to this French revolution, where people fought against the corrupted monarchy and created a new constitution. Hunger, no rights and no respect, they could not seem to solve it peacefully, so they cut off Louis the XVI neck. Marie Antoinette was a heartless greedy ***** she stole the people's food, so now she deserves some punishment, this is a historical moment for these people which they would soon cement. They started the Reign of Terror, which some may say was a costly and unnecessary error. Millions of people were killed and most were wrongly accused, their used to be equality, liberty, and fraternity, but all people saw was death, which is something not to be amused. The French Revolution where the third class fought the monarchy, so everyone could have true equality, liberty, and fraternity. Then came a guy named Napoléon who changed their wicked ways, he founded new ideas which created the future you see today. I know he wasn't exactly the best, he crowned himself the emperor, which no one had a say on, he pretended to respect the church and have meritocracy but really he was just a con, deceiving people as if they were just a couple of pawns. Napoléon is a wimp, he cost millions of lives, he also abandoned his armies multiple times, he may be one of the, greatest strategist's in the world, but really he's just a waste of time. Napoléon should have figured out not to attack Russia at winter time, it never worked out before so why would it work this time. He may be a symbol of France and the greatest self proclaimed emperor, but he died because of his pride just like Maximillian Robespierre. That was the end of the French Revolution, they slowly lost their power but they still hold onto their republican constitution. So aurevoir for now, bon voyage to you grande revolution, till your next controversial decisions and solutions.

I guess I just expected Something else It happens every year, I get excited Hopeful Giddy That maybe This year will be Different. Maybe I'll find an awesome friend Who does my nails And answers calls at two am Like Nicole did Before she moved to California Or she could be like Kayla Who would be silly with me in Drama class And use chocolate sauce for blood In our Black and White movie Before her dad died in combat And she went to bury him in Some foreign country Where cell phones Don't count Or a boyfriend like Louis That I could see a future with Sitting listening to Relient K In a college dorm With a million years to spare Before he left for London But the girl in front of me In English Pops her gum for the boy In the next desk And could poke my eye out With her fake straightened hair. The girl in my drama class Cakes on her mask and Participates in pageant after pageant And calls her anorexia A diet And I heard the rumor That the boy I thought was cute In chemistry Was caught ********* his Girlfriend Under her desk in Español Dos. I didn't think my standards were too high to meet.

Hidden Weapon By: James Desire See me walking on the vacant street What’s your first thought? Black kid up to no good See me- surrounded by others, my brothers What is your second thought? they are soldiers fighting a war across the ocean, but their hearts are at home seeking love and devotion. love from our country, devotion from their family. that is all that they need. they joined the military to fight for what they believe to defend from foes, seen and unseen in their hearts we are the greatest nation from the farmlands to the greatest plantations. it does not matter if they're black or white they will never give up freedoms fight. we have people here from every nation fighting for americas salvation women have been the backbone in every war death they've seen by the score. the plains indian women who fought alongside their men it became a common trend. joan of arc- who lifted the seige in only nine days the greatest role a woman could portray. the uniform does not necessarilly make her a soldier, but her heart and strength that make her bolder. bold enough to cover your back and pick up all the slack she will always be there in command and pick up the rifle from the sand she will do whatever she must for in her you put your trust. she is the female soldier, she stood her ground of that we should all be proud. give credit where credit is due this is what i say to you. louis rams :

I learned on the Saturday I met you that "love at first sight" is a serious illness. It infects the body and consumes it whole, leaving nothing but happiness and affection in place of the empty, hopeless shell it once was. I learned on Tuesday that good music and Star Wars references assist the speeding up process of a first kiss, And just how good knowing that it would be your last first kiss ever felt. On Wednesday, I learned how hard it was not to say "I love you" out loud. Instead, I resorted it to silently mouthing the phrase when your head is turned. On Thursday, I learned that you like to swirl the New York Cheesecake and Red Velvet Cake flavors of frozen yogurt, just like I do. It reminded me of the concept of being soulmates. Our secret dance reminded me of a movie from the 1920s. Thank you, Louis Armstrong, and the lake in San Angelo for providing the perfect atmosphere. I learned on Friday how easy it is to talk to the person you love for seven hours. I also learned that I don't care how tired I look in the first photograph we took together, because I've been a different person since last Saturday. On the second Saturday that I met you, I learned how hard it is to watch a movie alone with you while your lips are so close to mine. I learned a lesson on willpower, and also that it's easier if we watch movies in theaters. But even theaters can't keep us from sneaking kisses every once in a while. That day I learned how easy it is to dance beautifully with the soulmate you've known only for a week. I also learned that I'm not the only person who sees the beauty I see when we are together. I glanced over your shoulder during the Jimi Hendrix guitar solo, only to see our group of friends staring at us in awe. It didn't distract me from the butterflies I had from your arm being around me. Later that same night, I learned how anxious I feel, slipping love notes into your pocket, and saying goodbye, if only for two weeks. That week, I learned that two Saturdays is all it takes to make you certain of whom you want to spend the rest of your life with.

To get back in the game, I need one good hit. A horse with early lick; that has more heart than Joe Louis and Jake LaMotta combined. I need decent odds, at least 8-1. The racing gods have to smile on me one more time. At least for 6 furlongs, and then baby, I'm back in the game.

One Good Hit
Am I asleep, am I awake? When I saw you, I felt something so special And all those daydreams where I pictured you I've never felt like this before Cause lately I've been dreaming about you a lot Truly, Madly, Deeply I am falling for you I'm not sure about what makes you so beautiful But I know it's gotta be you For you got that one thing within you I wish we could stay up all night So we can dance the best song ever For me everything you do is magic How I wish you were my last first kiss Every time I see you my tongue gets tied Cause you are so irresistible I know that we've only met But can we pretend it's love? I wish you could be my summer love Cause nobody compares to you In the way you stole my heart I may not be tall as Harry Styles I may no possess Louis Tomlinson's angelic voice I may never be as cool as Liam Payne Or as cute as Niall Horan I may not even wear my fedora as Zayn Malik does I know that I am no part of One Direction and I never will be But one thing's for sure, you are my one direction

A One Direction Inspired Poem for 1D Gals

With Lackey and Heyward both turning blue The Chicago Cubs scored a mighty big coup Kind of a payback for Brock, comma Lou? What, oh what are the Cardinals to do? We’re pretty sad, say the fans dressed in red, That both of those guys chose Chicago instead But a person would have to be daft in the head To give up the St. Louis Cardinals for dead. Yes, the Cubbies think that they have enough But the whole NL Central is pretty **** tough, Which team do you think will have the right stuff? To win in September, when winning gets rough? 2016 will be pretty fun. There’s quite a Division race to be run When game 162 is finished and done We will see which team, the most games, has won. Yes, next year the race will be closely contended During the season you might have me un-friended But in winter time, our rivalry suspended We can cheer for the Bears till their season is ended. Friendly Rivalry
The Slow Starter (1958) - poem by Louis Macneice. A watched clock never moves, they said; Leave it alone and you'll grow up. Nor will the sulking holiday train Start sooner if you stamp your feet.   He left the clock to go its way;   The whistle blew, the train went gay. Do not press me so, she said; Leave me alone and I will write But not just yet, I am sure you know The problem. Do not count the days.   He left the calender alone;   The postman knocked, no letter came. O never force the pace, they said; Leave it alone, you have lots of time, Your kind of work is none the worse For slow maturing. Do not rush.   He took their tip, he took his time,   And found his time and talent gone. Oh you have had your chance, it said; Left it alone and it was one. Who said a watched clock never moves? Look at it now. Your chance was I.   He turned and saw the accusing clock   Race like a torrent round a rock. Louis Macneice

it does not matter if you're male or female in the mind of a abuser they will always prevail. when you allow the abuse from the start in you life, it becomes a part. whether it's verbal or physical, it matters not you let it start, and it won't stop. the verbal can be more damaging than the physical because it becomes daily. like a sculptor chipping away at its mold until it becomes the way that they want it to be. and if you don't stop it you will never be free. they do it because of their own inadequacy. which is something that their mind won't see. how much abuse should you take before it becomes much to late? the verbal abuser will always put you to the ground and expect you to not make a sound. they will tell you that you was put here to serve. and to make a move, you have no nerve. that you must obey their every command and that you are the **** of the land. if you have no - or low self esteem it is something which will be seen. and when an abuser has you in their sight no matter what you do, it won't be right. STOP the abuse, before it's too late. for this can not be your destined fate. the verbal abuse will always start first then from there, it will get worse. YOU must walk away, so that they can see a victim you will not be. (abuse is like a broken tool, it could damage whatever is good) louis rams

Could you ever pretend to understand living in a world that gave you no shelter from the coarse wind of history and the coarser rain of rhetoric? The shambles of those walls offer no protection. But, after all, they say why do you need walls in the jungle? No one has to tell you out loud that you were born to be thrown away. The ache of rotting teeth, the feeble acquiescence   to raw sewage, and the 400 dollar offer to silence the poison in your veins. They were loud enough. I imagine there is a moment between doorless stalls and postless football fields, where children, who grow like wild daffodils, see the other side of the bridge. And then they know until the end, that it has always been someone’s choice.

If I had last words they would be… Well… I mean… I see in those streams of invectives I see especially people who drink, eat, sleep, who make all human functions Which are quite rather ****** And I shall say that they’re heavy It never stopped being heavy I noticed I’ve read so many verses and particularly verses from the 17th century Verses, so-called courteous verses I found 3 or 4 good ones in thousands of them There’s little lightness in man He’s heavy... isn’t he And nowadays he’s extraordinary in heaviness Since automobiles, alcohol, ambition, politics make him heavy Even heavier It’s mostly like that, he’s extremely heavy Maybe one day shall we see a mind rebellion against the weight But it isn’t for tomorrow For now... we’re heavy So I’d say indeed If I had to die I’d say Man is heavy That’s all Oh! They were mean but... Because they were heavy They were heavy They were heavy… jealous of a certain lightness Jealous... jealous like a woman who wears a clothing burlap instead of another who wears lace Like someone who owns a workhorse instead of a thoroughbred Jealous... Jealous of being heavy... that’s all Crippled... They weigh... they're crippled Heaviness makes them ******* Therefore we can beware of them They’re ready to do anything Oh sure They’re ready to do anything And to activate heaviness They drink, aren’t they So when they drink, they turn into sledgehammers It’s frightening, isn’t it Sledgehammers without control Yes, they’re especially like this They activate... increase their weight Instead of making themselves lighter Oh! They’re not in Ariel’s side They’re more like Caliban More and more

“You have to love your neighbor” He told to every throng But one by one they turned away He had to die alone His was a  voice Crying in the wilderness “I have a dream”, the dark man said, “Of peace on earth someday” But hatred reigned in other hearts And Martin was their prey His was a voice Crying in the wilderness The man born in Hawaii He struggles for the poor Healthcare plans are his own cross Where all can find a cure Is his a  voice Crying in the wilderness Pray all good men will recognize When hope is pushed aside To rise against the chaos Where love has been denied When truth is lost Crying in the wilderness

Crying In The Wilderness by Louis Brown

From plane to plane, and none by none The circle trails towards all but one, For seeing Deaths could not prevail The night's cool mist and Dewey Hail. To the Gods that soar with thunder, Straight edge wing, we'll bring asunder- Fragments: aluminum and iron- With mossy cellars rusting pyres. Daybreak screams, alike my notebook, With the hopes: Eternal Outlook, And smoke-emitting plants and cars, And night-birthgiving lights and bars, All set dim, fluorescence unseen. But in broad day? Our shame will scream. Further! Muster, lavished Brother In Greed, who forces towards plunder Mine and mine companion's others Times, sepulchers, decent gestures. To learn to hate the natural shrub Is same to love the rust we rub From decay of Louis' Arc, Death, humanity soon embarks.
