"galileo" poems
Galileo saw darkness when he looked up, you saw darkness too. Galileo saw a shine in the darkened out sky, you saw it too. you asked Galileo, what is that shine?, Galileo said, its you. Don't ever forget that where darkness comes, you can always be the light, for that is what life is and that is why it always feels like a fight.

Darkness
of course i ********** every night, otherwise i'd be wondering about the next Laika in space with some next soviet conspiracy Sputnik hovering while i chance abbreviate a change on hairstyling thinking: jeez, this is a little bit too afro frizzy for a brainstorm, maybe i better opt for Jamaican dreads? economics of shampoo usage, suddenly a large bank account. i do get the idea behind treating nouns like albinos... bleach the ******* hang them to dry in Polaroids... while commercial flights fly at a certain height, and the rich buggers fly high enough to jet-stream in the cirrus uncinus bracket... and they lie to children, they're talking about strange satellites... i can't see satellites, not without Galileo's excommunication apparatus, satellites, as far as i am concerned orbit the earth in a non-visible spectrum of the vacuum... hence their orbiting outside of the visible spectrum atmosphere of the earth, i would not be able to see a satellite for the love of Michaelangelo.

Jamaican dreads
When all the men in white gather ‘round, And all their smiles they have pulled down, And God is all they learned in school That’s when the Church picks up their tools. When later drag in insecure, The men that know they aren’t sure, But must proceed and light the fuel, When Francesco joins the duel. When tall in stance so unafraid, The man behind the trouble made, With talk of Suns, and Earth, and joules, Galileo ties the crewel. When in they come, right on time, And keep close guarded a biase unprimed, For no! They shall so not be fooled! The jurors come, and keep their cool. When all these people uneasy meet, Pull out their papers, take their seats, And all our luck we share and pool, When the Court does come to rule.

When the Court Does Comes to Rule: The Trial of Galileo
“find a lover who looks at you like maybe you are magic” she does, Frida she does. she looks at me like I am Galileo and I have mapped the stars just for her; she has never been more right. I have spent countless hours charting the constellations in her eyes, in the way she drinks her coffee, in the sound of her breathing when she’s fallen asleep beside me. when the room grows still, I kiss the night sky’s secrets into the palms of her hands, and know that they are safe. I am so lucky to love her, Frida. I am so lucky she sees the light in all my dark and chooses to stay.

A letter to Frida Kahlo
Who on Earth were these people From the past, who made sense Of a world without iPods, iPads or plumbing? What’s up with those towering minds of yesteryear? From where did they come and how come? Goethe standing so tall Voltaire you tower! And bend over Beethoven, I can’t reach your low five. What grant of Gods favor gave them sight? Awesome mighty minds of the past. Descartes, I think so you are, So smart that I think I am not. Galileo you saw heaven before I had eyes. Einstein, Da Vinci, Archimedes You and your kind will all live forever, Men will stand upon your shoulders And then die.

Crude Tribute to Intellect
As I let my mind wander into time, and release these binds that have me confined, I began to feel a great energy, like the sun had been compressed and put into me, and as time tic tocs and unwinds into its trail of infinity. I realize a trinity mind body soul, they burn as a whole, for the mightiest of goals. and as time unwinds it'll leave you behind. unless you get your spot in, a line of legacys never to be forgotten Confucius, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr, George Washington, Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara, Nelson Mendala, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Steve Jobs, Stephen Hawkins, Leonardo Da Vinci, Wolfgang Amedeus Mozart, nikola tesla, Wael Ghonim, Jimi Hendrix, Joseph Stiglitz, Reed Hastings, François Rabelais, Archimedes, Sigmund Frued, Charles Darwin, Aryabhata, Bob Marley, Garrett Morgan, George Washington Carver, Aristotle, John Locke, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Plato, Galileo Galilei...and many many more... Stand for something. Think outside the box. Evolve and express yourself. Make a difference  #STEM #LegacyToIfinity

Thoughts of a Legacy
A microcosm of the world was what I would say and the hurt kept coming in every way Money religion and all that can divide it was all used to hurt my pride Friends, parents, and heritage were to blame When love is not love its all the same Where is the "for better" where is there "for worse" believing more of what's out there, that's the curse Lied about, framed, and hurt deeply with neurological drugs aligning herself with common thugs Thousands of magical moments they really did bring joys even though they are now used for other people's toys Deep in our hearts they'll never go away How I love you in every way I don't care what anybody will say More Roses from me to you on more of your special days your are of my greatest gift s in my life and our moments I will always cherish there are no words, no actions, no charades that can blemish our bread is buttered today that's what we say some creativity will find another way so many things remind me of you not the worst human being alive deserves what happened in lieu In my mind I gave more than I ever I could The drugs made hardened feelings do what they would stock market losses another reason to blame moving and changing lost much more just the same but all the justifiers come out to make sure she disapproved when all our lives were changed with her horrible moves when all chances taken were for love and generosity and all she could see to make her right was animosity No human being could ever bare to hear the pains I suffered and to even reveal the truth takes all I have to muster but the truth is that I would do it all again if that was the price for you to see the beauty beyond all attachments and the splendor in thee Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Socrates, Galileo and more have been jailed and what were the greatest truths ever and how they later sailed Unconditionally loving you and that is what will always be in me and for that I am the luckiest person I can be

It was the 25th which meant only one thing a trip to grandpa's house every 25th of every month we traveled the 10 minutes down the gravel road to see my grandpa and his rocking chair man that rocking chair sculpted from reddish brown wood balanced perfectly like a pedestal I had never sat on it just out of respect I admired from afar every 25th my grandpa was always in that chair when I arrived rocking back and forth and forth and back like Galileo's pendulum rain or shine snow or wind when I pulled into that driveway my Grandpa was in that chair it fascinated me as a kid like he was some video game character programmed to do this mundane task it was familiar it was calming but I grew older and thought about that chair less along with my family but every 25th even on a windy day like today I'd travel down the gravel road to see my grandpa when I arrived the chair was rocking back and forth forth and back but my Grandpa was not sitting

The Rocking Chair
"You're so special, how did the universe come up with you?" You make old love feel so brand new And your beauty is blinding You're like one of galileo's findings You remind me of the night sky A shooting star just flying by The sun and the moon couldn't compare You're one in a million you're so rare.

One in a million
Thank you Galileo for tilting up at their sky, as the bull, crab, and ****** sent caution from thought to the flat dirt umbrelled by musing why, ''or a fire of stone from an old hellish plot'' Sinners will crumble like a drum to a wall. Glints of knife scratches shall drop from their clouds, while Libris will beckon to the vowels of the tall. Your protest shall quiver to madness aloud. Plighted in brick, left to whince to your game, the branders, hatassers preach love and then die, but the truth of their lie only whispers exclaim. Thank you Galileo for releasing this sky.

Yearnings
i hope, i try to hope --to believe-- believe me, i try to trust in trust i think i feel, or think or know there isn't any code that satisfies though maybe there's an uber-uber-ultra-meta code beyond what even codes can mean? meh. i enjoy the hypothetical, Paris in a bottle, fairness for all sentient beings, faith in nothing comprehensible, an English teapot circles Jove from afar or all that's uncontrollable, for some all-purpose good to decorate the brackish, ocean truth. and uncertain science is another case, mistrusting all, testing daring thoughts with razor sight, to sharpen speech and challenge all to flex the truth into a fitness ground on which to stand, objective stern and method doubt to peer and scan the detail bare, denude minutiae into ever smaller parts, expanse of raw and empty space attuned, to vibrant nothingness rebound muons, gluons, tauons, quarks and bosons --Higgs the boon for popular appeal, to bridge or monumentalize the science-mystic gap appall the ghosts that Galileo keeps for company i enjoy the fantasy, dragons in a flask, perfect love for all, dancing in the dark in joy regardless of the shutter thicken dust

Science, *****
I imagine myself as an architect crafting buildings out of broken bits of rocks pencil lines on paper shaping into something beautiful it must have been beautiful in the beginning when our mind had no pictures to compare to the ones our eyes could take I imagine the start of the universe dark matter and energy and how it would feel to absorb any light that hits to hide where even Galleo’s gaze can't reach

Galileo's Gaze
A couple becomes comfy...comatose Their coffins carved carefully At the cost of the cuticles That cut the cloth concealing the cause of calumny. Cut with claws Claus? Santa has no clue But the paws with the claws came from Cope, The coyote cub who clubbed with truth. Calm, Palms clasped on Aphrodite's coffee cup Caffrodite, cups Cups that carry potential - kinetic, energy, Crash! ...Chaos conceived carelessly A ****** tear This is the C-Section Confused? No concern...know care Because you are capable Superman, Cape-able But soon the caffeine kicks in, And the common carotid is cooked Killer Compare now, casualties to cows... Not so different Still, the crowd plays casual Aloof So dream of a connection concentrate in a container And swig Constrict the fists and relax To be carried off into the cosmos Consumed by clouds of gas... Below are the circus clowns Coughing, conceiving, creating. Is it a crime? To be cut off from contemplation? Akin to Galileo, craniums will roll While eyes stay still completely A quiet kiss to the clavicle of our collective cast Soothes the commotion to This clamoring performance A hush to this cacophony

I hadn't expected someone there already before me. Only lonely men come here I heard him through my heavy breath lonely with nothing and everything. Down there was the sea rumbling faintly with the froths painting themselves on the shore like a sketch in a child's drawing book. Height does amazing tricks, the man continued, *makes you feel invincible stimulates you to be ****** into gravity to fall as light as the feather.* The dusk was wrapping up the light when I remembered having promised her not to be late to descend. There's a man up there, I told the gateman, Nope, he said, you were the only guest this evening.

Galileo
I fell in love with the weird, the chaotic. I mean. Have you ever considered what the shaky man at the end of the street was screaming? Have you ever found order in the chaos of a Jackson ******* Einstein may have been famous for E=MC squared, but he also determined that S=KlogW. Order tends to move to disorder as time progresses. Tell me you don’t warm at the sight of a toddler with ice cream down her dress, sitting in a mud pile with only one sock on one foot, one pigtail half done, and one smile plastered across her indifferent face. The road of exes I’ve left behind is wrought with Star Trekkies, cult members, and bi polar ******** but here I stand begging for more. My BFF Becky, who’s really my therapist Karen, says I’m seeking inspiration. But the shaky man on the corner who sometimes thinks he’s God says that I’m Galileo. And I’d rather believe him.

S=KlogW and Other Philosophies...
Galileo Galilei-- Physicist, mathematician, Astronomer, philosopher-- You angered the Roman Inquisition   And later the Pope and Jesuits as well. Your scientific observation That the earth moves around the sun Was deemed a heretical revelation!   Spreading ideas "contrary to scripture"-- A risky endeavor and path to take-- Guaranteed life imprisonment Or a gruesome burning at the stake.   Under pressure you recanted: "The earth doesn't move around the sun." They say that under your breath you muttered, "And yet it moves." You lost, yet won.   Though you lived under house arrest For years until the day you died, Your scientific contributions To benefit mankind cannot be denied.   It's sad when dogma and ignorance attempt To force dissenters into compliance. It's sadder yet that in this century Too many people still ignore science.   Our thoughts aren't shaped from cookie cutters; Beliefs don't all fit the same mold. Praise to the thinkers who soar to great heights And break authority's stranglehold.   Praise to those who dare to defy Petrified positions or views-- Who challenge our mind-set and open our eyes To truth and awareness, despite jeers and boos. - by Bob B

i'm just bored of having to feel what other people feel, limiting the realism of things, a woman with a child's  severed head in moscow is sensationalism to them, but when they get a mild reality, Kashmir chilly  on the palette, they make cheap Monty Python jokes to scare the facts away... the so-called satire that requires canned laughter; was given a library of 25 philosophy books, not one of them by an englishman, went as far back as the greeks, i guess the version of english egalitarian was not worth a communism, somehow the two synonyms became antonyms... 25 volumes of philosophy, not one english philosopher... the english intellectualise: i.e.: regurgitate facts.... the english do not philosophise, i.e. instead they cite facts... they're intellectuals by rite of citation, the citation of facts, they can't philosophise i.e. not cite (facts)... they intellectualise, they cite and recite facts with a dogmatism that fears a demolition and no rekindling of interest... to philosophise is to avoid citation: to work from nothing, the english cannot philosophise because they intellectualise and by intellectualism they cite and recite facts like an ave maria pi = 3.14... Galileo's spectacles... etc. the english cannot philosophise, they're just intellectuals, they cite and recite facts, they cannot engage from non-citation or non-recitation of a fact, like a greek might ignore a stone and fool himself claiming it's nothing, the english cannot allow a confiscation of a subject and treat it as nothing, it would not make sense as to why charles i was the precursor of the french aristocratic en masse meeting with the guillotine if darwinism wasn't discovered on the islands of Galapagos... although i beg to differ with a thought on Gauguin and the islands of Tahiti: make a turtle yawn and you'll jinx yourself a blessing to live to be one hundred years old.

A POLICE MAN CAN DO ANYTHING Why compromised are the police men? From all over the world, policemen are sellouts, Policemen arrested Jesus Christ and flogged him, Others tortured Galileo Galilai for intellectual cross purpose, Some of them vandalized Martin Luther King, and his wife, As they also put Fidel Castro on the tilted trial, The same are the ones that arrested Mahatma Gandhi In the same tandem of Colonel Afrifa organizing a coup To effect putsch against Kwameh Nkrumah, or Mandela to Robben gulag, They tortured Rubia and Matiba in Kenya down the abyss of mental breakdown, They kicked in the teeth Abdulla Abdalladiff at Kamiti prison Then they ran off for a decade to effect the ****** of Robert Ouko, Their evil tendency was never quenched until They abducted the County parliament speaker Of Maembe hamlet in the Nyake Kingdom of potato eaters And held him in the spine chilling captivity for days and days Only to release him when he sufficed to stay in dumb freedom.

darling moon dear moon do not be offended we have stripped you down to rock and a plain face and we show pictures of you in black, gray and white; and though a writer of verse, in this verse, I strip you of your romance and aura; be not angry for after all, you will understand, we are children who come after Galileo and Neil Armstrong

dear moon, you will understand
it's true they did love you once. feared you too, but maybe that's the same thing, gave you roast pigs and animal pelts and you didn't even have to ask. a pretty good arrangement. now i'm the only one that sticks around and even then only when i'm bored. i'm taunting and i'm cruel and you, love, are not a great conversationalist but it evens out. so i get to take jabs at you til you're frothing at the mouth, like seafoam, briny shaking valleys and hills with your anger. and i can't help but laugh at you. you, with your dusty ruby eyes (that lie now in a museum somewhere because the white men walked into your temples and plucked them right out -) and your stone paws, roughly hewn, mossy, ugly. we laugh and laugh about what you lost between galileo and darwin and euler, so many years and the backs of men.

Winter’s releasing us from its perpetually gray and gloomy grip. Who can study in their room, on a beautiful spring afternoon? Azaleas assail ya, with champagne petals of bubblegum fuchsias, they blush in near neon reflection, with a mathematical, fractal perfection. Courtyards that were once dark and uninviting, frosty scenes, sport impromptu manicured carpets, of flawless, vibrant greens. Dogwoods explode, abruptly overnight, with cherry blossom whites they blush like brides on parade, they sachet, swaying flag-like bouquets. Ordinary maples become emerald queens by unfurling avocado, hunter and chartreuse leaves, accented with vibrant electric limes and honeydews, as if to say, ‘We too can please.’ New life stretches, almost yawning, in the seemingly reborn sun, insects hum as they cultivate, birds flit excitedly, as if to say,  ‘Why’re you inside? Come out and play - why do you even hesitate?’ I know there’s something in spring that’s irresistible, pheromonal, hormonal, surfeit and emotional. Is it the solar zenith angle or the sun’s declination that produces these delightful inclinations? . .
