Muse méduse, vierge et tremblante séductrice
Tu m'as demandé de te conter fleurette

On échangera nos fantasmes
On improvisera
Tu seras Poppy la cosmonaute
Et moi E.T. le martien.
Tu seras Apollo VIII
Et moi Cap Canaveral
Obscènes et heureux
Complices
Nus et sincères et amoureux
Dans un voyage intersidéral d'aller-retours
Entre la Terre et la Lune
Saturne et ses lunes
En apesanteur
Pour deux éternités.

an interstellar vacuum
is far from empty,
all the water in the universe
is melted comets,
and it floods all reason.

bloodstar from afar
or Cape Canaveral close,
no astral projection there,
only a cipher in a foreign quadrant
until...teardrops,
big, wet, unsympathetic drops.

hear it now!
the sonic boom of
marooned tourism,
in short shots,
fast cuts,
horizonal eddy currents
ripe with thorns,
like lakes of suspicion,
if God is listening
then this mission is in trouble.

downcycled planet in the wires
and cigarette lighters,
a home without space,
Andromeda chained in sacrifice
to sate the monster,
her punishing beauty
cascading over the peril
that everything in the universe
is recyclable – even you!

She was a vegetarian
Cigarette-smoking drunk
Who fell in love easily
With any handsome hunk.
She was a bible-quoting
Daily Zodiac-addicted muse
In dungarees, leather chaps
And covered with tattoos.

Like a character from Monty Python
She always had pentagram earrings on.
And she loudly wondered constantly
Why nobody ever took her seriously.

She looked like a biker mama,
But she never owned a bike.
A personality like barbed wire
She was so very hard to like.
She growled like a take-off
Out of Cape Canaveral.
Why she wasn’t popular she
Could never understand at all.

She had the strangest body parts
Tattooed or heavily pierced
She looked unlike a human being
And she thought that was fierce.

She walked like The Thing
From the Fantastic Four
And I was never sure she knew
What shower was created for.
Her entire vocabulary was
Based on waste matter and ***.
I really do believe she was
The product of an ancient hex.

Timeworn,
"she was weeping, banally, in the moonlight"

We, in some strange power’s employ, move on a rigorous line

Our thoughts broadcast in reverse of linear time

Laying down fresh electric cable so our minds can again spin webs and half-eaten threads

To stand ready for launch from
Cape Canaveral

Young astronauts, and cultural fallout, spun in exhilarating swirl of places and vividly half-described incidents

Experiments explored in zero gravity

Starlight, starbright
first time I apogee tonight

Impaled upon the high temples of Min
flowered in the sun

A collective come undone

Circumferencing quicksand
as worlds tilting badly off-center

In the death ovens
they go spiraling down into driftglass

Challenge Thomas Case
from a historical figure's viewpoint.

(Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtains)

All my great inventions
An Emerald City of true paradise
An eye in the sky that watches all...
At the labor of the Munchkins
The city thrives on and on
The four winds carry my famous name
The great and most powerful OZ!

There was ones a great disturbance
A march upon my precious city
The yellow brick road of evil
The Witches of all directions raised
Dorothy and her posy had arrived

Why can't they understand
I protect this kingdom
From the dangers of the outsiders
And the opinions of those unwelcome here in Oz!

But then it happened
Nothing would ever be the same
The Munchkins revolted
Red ruby glass slippers some witch made
Would over power my dictatorship

The Munchkins now ruling their selves
In league with some race of monkey elves
Left me no choice
So I returned to Kansas
Just behind Dorothy and her confounded little dog Toto

I joined the mighty Canaveral for a short spell
Still there and everywhere
Again and again evil dwelt among men
So beware
Until this day I still fight for the small people

Misty morning, clouds in the sky
Without warning, the wizard walks by
Casting his shadow, weaving his spell
Funny clothes, tinkling bell
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic
Evil power disappears
Demons worry when the wizard is near
He turns tears into joy
Everyone's happy when the wizard walks by
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic
Sun is shining, clouds have gone by
All the people give a happy sigh
He has passed by, giving his sign
Left all the people feeling so fine
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic.

A1A
The promise we made that day on A1A
Whoever was left alive would drive
With the ashes in the seat, the first one to leave
Making it to the Keys one final time

Lived our lives with no thought who'd be the first one out
Every minute of every day along the way
No need for a starter gun as we were always on the run
Making life easier to give away than ever save

And don't life have a way of twisting in it's crazy run
With the jest of it's last twist is Jimmy's gone
Leaving me in the drivers seat, Jimmy's ashes next to me
Rolling down A1A like a song

As an afterthought Jimmy dreamed of being an astronaut
So we stopped off for a tour of Cape Canaveral
Not really sure of why with Jimmy already in flight
Leaving far behind this crazy world

Was that him that spoke up dude let's go to Hollywood
But Florida's Hollywood only has shooting stars
Jimmy never once complained we were taking the long way
Or even asked me once where we were

Talked of life along the way from Pompano to Biscayne Bay
Top pulled back, blowing free in the wind
Last stop on this quest, the very edge of Key West
Where I mixed Jimmy's ashes with the sea and sand
Which was the last part of this A1A crazy plan

There once was a ***** named April
Who found herself in the town of Cape of Canaveral
She'd waste away the days
In splashing waves
Scant was her memory of a time before
And little thought was there of anything more
Than the time spent with her old sailor
Each sunrise brought the promise of adventure and play
Although as time passed sleep began to take up more of the day
But content was she
To curl in the lap of a man
Who loved his dog more than the sea
Call me crazy, but some of the realest convos I've had have been with my dogs

The order is release
And I can't change my release form
I hope that changes my opinion about American Justice
The dream stays like an addressed flag, worn by a leprechaun
Cherishing the four-leaf clover and washed up Panama Canal
Cape Canaveral thanks for the rockets, the fallen angels
