Religion is a tool of man
But this i think you understand
God may be a memory
If mankind would only flee
And then his wrath would not exist
Religion is but a closed fist
Its been useful to us thus far
But now Allah wants us to spar
If we quit while we’re ahead
Maybe we won't all end up dead
But for those with faith stronger than an ox
To you, i salute thee, but also throw rocks
For now you have a choice to make
Do to this, mankind could break
You can worship your gods and cows
Or join me, and in human kind,
Be proud
this poem combats Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism, so if you are any of those religions please don't read, or don't get offended when you do read, the intent of the poem is to restore faith in humanity more then anything
someday i will be a man
with a kind and righteous heart
even when love does not find me
i'll still have a lovely start
for although i’m not a charmer
and although i am insane
a righteous light may guide me
through the shadows of resentment and pain
i once wrote a poem called "shadow of regret" now that that stage of my life had ended, this is the refutation to that, being righteous did indeed guide me through that resentment, and all it took was a little persistance
music can be powerful and strong
music can be great
music has been around so long,
music is my fate…
one day i will be a legend
with a taste for melodious sound,
people will shiver at the mention
of william the great and profound
music is a great way to achieve glory, but i will never let it cloud my judgment, or make me a different person
the only thing that binds me
to the earth until i die
is the songs i love, that sound is enough,
to comfort me when i cry
the only thing that keeps me
from a world of death and despair
is the soul of a guitar rocking
and the slow, steady tempo of an old rocking chair
music is very important in my eyes, and will be even when i become very old
My soul does not belong to god
Nor will it go to hell,
I will keep my soul my own
For eternity by myself,
For if a heavenly light should call
And beckon me to a door,
I will close my eyes on earth
And fall asleep forevermore,
My life serves very well insane
And so, insane i am
Heaven cannot cure my mind
Without making me a different man,
And with no hardship, with no war
And with no famine, or flaws,
A few short years in paradise
And my character will be gone
please don't be offended, this is my view of heaven, and it is not intended to offend anyone, i'm a humanitarian atheist so i'm very secular but i occasionaly like to write a religious poem
The color blue is many things
The sky, the ocean, and sea
The color green is also there
The grass, the frogs, and trees
The color red, like beautiful death
The flames, the blood, and then
The color black, an evil fright
Death itself, and fear, and night
the world is very colorful if you pay attention
That child is my shining star
In a world that hates my guts
That child shall be mine once more
To be away from her is not fun
That child with an angel face
That child with a smile
That child is my own little babe...or was,
Before i went wild
written from the perspective of the unfit parent, whose lost custody of their child, love sometimes isn't enough, but its not anyone's fault, you can forgive yourself when your intentions were pure
