It was a good life.
For sure, there was no doubting that.
there were parties,
and fun and excitement,
and adventures and lovers and affairs,
and everything anyone had ever wanted.

But that was before.
That was before he met her and his life changed,
and he no longer wanted to aimlessly
but charmingly stumble through the rest of his life.
He was so busy running from one place to the next that before he could stop himself,
she was gone.

And now,
all that was left was a memory.
Sometimes we've got to trust
If we're to ever find the one
Trust not wholly on the heart
For it could turn out to be a bad act
But give in slowly to time
Then maybe it would find us
Cause love is not to rush
That would be a minus
Sometime what we seek
It's just right there
When we open the inner eyes
Then we know
It actually found us
if i was to rest by the banks of the river
near the old tree were the shade was nice
till i drift away to an afternoon slumber
as the cold winds kiss me forever

Soon we'll meet,
Soon everyone will know,
The world we'll conquer will the first one to bow,
The boundaries that keep us apart will break,
Our love will show them their place,
They'll keep the hatred but will know us as brave.
Such crass hypocrisy,
Coming from high society,
Blaming nomenclature,
For their inane nature;

Calling a pig,
A bad dig,
Just to roast it,
And save your own meat;

The movement has responded,
Just as the street would have wanted,
A total boycott of your brand,
To garnish your garri with enough sand.
A flight owner in Nigeria recently wrote a letter of apology when queried for flying a popstar and reality show star to the country's capital for a drive-in concert that saw people violate the presidential taskforce on COVID-19 directives against crowding.

In their own wisdom, the business owner labelled the passengers that used his heat USELESS PEOPLE and that got the MARLIANS riled up, calling for a total boycott of their airline services.

The hypocrisy in that country called Nigeria is second to none anywhere in the world.
From off the pores of pitch-black skin,
Floyd's soul saps aways,
Little by Little,
One last time
One last effort
One last fruitless plea
In tinny scraps of air
Pushed up from greying lumens
Sourly yields a quashed neck coldening ,
The sore man sighs the last of life,
The man with the loathed shade met his end
Racism, tribalism, sexism are the same thing.. different coats of the same bean.
We talk in emojis
21st century style you know
Our conversation wraps
A few moments past dawn

He reports every second on the gram
Almost as if that’s his beau
Before exchanging good morning texts
He says Insta Fam hello

And when we do get intimate
It just doesn’t feel right
He goes on to publish
She’s my Aphrodite

Oh I want to be teleported
To the age of billet doux
Just two love birds
On a hilltop with a great view

So on a fine Monday morning
I told him what I really want
He said it much like a warning
That the Stone Age is long gone.

what is seen
is temporary

and what is unseen
is eternal

but impermanence doesn’t bother me
if what i’m seeing is you
some things aren’t meant to last,
and that’s okay.
It wasn't love was it?
As much as it felt like it
As much as it seemed like it
Love doesn't run
It shines like the sun
Love doesn't fail
It doesn't bail
Love doesn't give up
Love rises up
Above all doubt
Survives disaster and drought
But ours didn't
Because it wasn't love was it?
As much as it looked like it
As much as sounded like it
Love is not selfish
It doesn't quickly perish
Love holds on through thick and thin
Through every loss, every win
In sickness and in health
In poverty or wealth
It means you accept my flaws
You stick with me through peace or a million wars
But you left, you walked away
If it was love, you would stay
But it wasn't love was it?
As much as it felt like it
As much as it seemed like it
It was no such thing as love
Please don't ever call it love
I hate you for not loving me
I resent you for faking loving me
I needed real love
I wanted real love
Not what you gave me
After I let you have me
Over and over
Made you my one and only lover
It wasn't love was it
I loved you, but you didn't
