Even though you’re the one that hurt me
I still want you to be the one
That holds me to make the hurt go away

Have you ever danced in the rain?
Gazing a thousand miles into the soul of the one in your arms.
Forgetting the day, and living in the moment as your bodies become one.
Surrounded by no more then an eternal memory.
No music, no sounds except the beating of our hearts.
Each drop of rain washing away the world around us.
Each drop giving birth to a new page and a new chapter of love and ecstasy.
Silly moments of passion flooding a new love with glorious
heartfelt desires.

You’re not a poet because you know those ‘fancy’ words
You’re a poet because every word you write comes straight from your heart

You’re not a poet because people admire your work
You’re a poet because you write for your own contentment and not for people's consent

You’re not a poet because you feel alone
You’re a poet because pen and paper are your biggest companions

You’re not a poet because you understand emotions better
You’re a poet because you let them flow freely

You are not a poet because you’ve failed in love
You’re a poet because you’ve been in love deeper than anyone else

You’re not a poet because you are strong
You’re a poet because you don’t hide your weaknesses

You’re not a poet because you can heal hearts
You’re a poet because you know what it means to be broken
Dedicated to all the poets here. I feel happy to be a part of the community.

Losing friends is inevitable
I’ve lost many before
Death, distance, and lifestyle
Has already taken its toll

You were the friend
I couldn’t bear to lose
Although you are gone
My hope is not spent

I will keep you in my heart
Holding on to the sentiment
Even the lost can find their way home
If you leave the porch light on
Memories of the distant past
Come flashing through my mind
Good times bad times even sad times
Are gone now left behind.
Years move on the past has gone
We move ahead life carries on.
And then there are those photographs
Of folk that I once knew
And all those faces from different places
Where have they all gone to .?
I say goodbye to those good old days
Those days of long ago
But I cannot help but shed a tear
On the melancholy  road.
Looking at some black and white family photographs
Of my family and friends and my pet dogs over the years  Now all are no longer around .just a simple little poem.Melancholy road.
The glimmer of hope gets brighter
Those dark clouds are fading away
Soon your life will get better
The sunshine will be here to stay.

The weight off your mind will be taken
Your burdens you'll carry no more
There is A life now that is waiting
A key that will open your door.

Your past it will be left behind you
Move forward the future is yours
Now you will do what you need to
Go on look out and explore.

Take heed of aĺl your surroundings
Their is beauty of every Kind
Look out foř the things that are calming
And that hope  that will open your mind.

This world it is so full of sorrows
With things that can bring you down
But the sun it will come out tomorrow
And the joys in this life will be found.
I know so many people with depression
But guess what.there is life after depression. I also know peoplè
Who at one time suffered  with depression and now have recovered.
Maybe it is finding that key. After saying these positive words we should
Never underestimate  The reality of depression

I am a lonely book
On a dusty shelf
I am full of stories
Patiently waiting for a reader
To hang on every word
Read every line
Get lost between the pages
In my spine

Why do we search
For comfort and healing
In the hands of those
That broke us in the first place?
