When I was a child,
I was taught poetry wasn't mild,
It was deep as the sea,
And it seemed truly unachievable for me.
I was taught poetry had to rhyme,
Every single line, every single time.
So poetry seemed out of my reach,
Like chasing a seagull down a beach,
Jumping ever so slightly away,
Or soaring into the sunny day.

So I never thrived for what I thought would,
No, Could
Never be.

I guess now I'm fixing the mistakes of past me.

Luckily, every year there's only one October.
But still, it keeps happening every year.

Jesus is in my heart
Jesus is by my side
He's with me day and night
He guides me home safe every night
I thank the Lord every day
And I stop and pray for
The sick and suffering every day..
Prayer 💜

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

Good enough
 Sep 2020 Isaac
Not everything needs a poem
it’s already

good enough.
We wake up
Every morning,
Not knowing
It may be
Our last
Let’s love ourselves, for tomorrow is uncertain.

My love never faded..
It was just inhaled &
Remained suppressed...

For at times you give up...

Especially when the one that you want
Lacks the maturity or ability
To reciprocate the same emotions
You exhaled in their direction..
