I fear the ones who
Possess the power
To bend minds.

I fear them.

i will siphon you desolate
and leave a desert
inside your veins

and the oasis that was
once your heart
will become a tomb
sand-flailed
eroded
buried

the same you
did to me
For yet another prompt on allpoetry.

I've daydreamed of my burial day,
I've thought about,
who I want to come,
If anyone would come,
and you understand,
if you've been on death's end before,

but if what's more important,
or adequate,

is the music performed,
then we get our ends,

and as the soulless bodies glance down,
as I'm buried in,
there will be a concert,
I'll hear,
six feet underground.

I will,
Just
hear,
Sound.

I wonder if like a storm you are
unaware of the damage you inflict.
Flooding these walls with screams,
shattering the fragility of our home.

I assume you are too caught up
within your own struggles to break free.
The wrath of your thoughts and those
calculating fingers rake your flesh.

Etching violent artistry's to your soulless
voids. Little needles which pin-***** at
the dark corners of your mind; awakening
the dormant cruelty sheltered within.

It is only through the cusp of night that
apologies emerge as you feign delicacy.
Your liquid skies fade to hellish hues as
you tell me not to lust after hurricanes.

Empty souls drifting in the wind, blow to the corners of the world
where they patiently wait for the next breeze.
And all but one gave up.
She danced with the breeze and twirled amongst the hurricanes,
flowed with the clouds and jumped with the lightning All but she stayed still,
for they had long ago given in to the system,
where it was she who stepped on its toes.
Questioning and fighting for what she believed to be right.
And now, where all but she is cornered
you find her staring at the stars
where in her mind she is dancing amongst the storms
for they prepare her for the next night...

DRIFTED

I wish I would have stopped the ticking clock
Just to stop you from going
To stop you from drifting away
But unfortunately you did
Slowly like a mist
You slipped away from me
You became hazy
As you drifted
You became blurry
As you slowly got carried away
Away with the windy air
