You stand so brightly
In a world ever expansive
Holding yourself high with
What little strength
That tiny vessel holds

For you my flower
I would
Cut away the shadows
For you my radiance
I would
Surround you with light
For you my flower
I would
Make sure you are well nourished,
Content.
But for the fear that
I am building a prison around you,
I freeze.

So I let you feel
Winds of ice and,
Darkness prolonged and,
Undernourished soil
But...
But I make sure that,
Whatever you experience in this world...
Isn't anything more than you can handle.

Captain Rackstraw ~
Log entry 04

To the grave shall I take these letters. The British navy must never find them, if they do all of the legends will crumble and be forgotten as ancient myths. You see the sea monsters are real, I’ve seen them with my own eyes. I have seen the power of the Steipereidur, a massive monster-whale like creature. The cowards that call themselves the “British Navy” would have you believe that it is a merciless beast that leaves no one left alive when it attacks. On the contrary it is the savior of us simple fishermen. The Steipereidur fights for us against other creatures that mean us harm, (this includes of course the British thieves.) That is the main reason the Navy wishes to have people hunt the gentle giant, they fear her.

To me, your heart is special
So is your soul, far more precious
than the most expensive
diamond, there is
For it knows
Love

His heart's a bursting fountain of joy. His mind, a vortex of sorrow. I wish the former saved the latter.

I am trying
to memorize your eyes
as if they were a map
I could follow
to find you again
when you are gone
Dormant, standing on the bow peering out with telescope in hand
Quite seas
Off in the distance,
Land
Bright sunlight piercing through closed fingers
Shielding the reflection of the ocean and sky
To no avail
Telescope still in hand
Distance drawing nearer
"Land **!" yells the lookout as dry ugly faces peer out from below deck
Grumbling voices wake from their slumber as the crew saunters their way into the day light and fresh air
They grab rope, and hooks, swords, and supplies
Captain steering towards the shore
They hop on three dinghies
Eight strong
Yo ** ** and a bottle of ***
Eyepatches, sly grins, and peg legs a plenty
No one greets them on the small island
They are there to pillage the resources and devour the meats as they reach soil
Sharp teeth and empty stomachs
Tattoos of women with large *******, and anchors, hearts, and daggers
***
Much *** will be swigged and landing in bellies come nightfall
Songs sung by fires warm light
At mornings break they shall hunt and scour the land for animals and resources
They haven't a map but smell treasure
They know it's there
They whiff at the air to determine their course
They argue their cut, their share of their findings until one man lay dead from sharp blades final judgement
More for the taking of the rest of the crew
Morning comes
Through the branches, over rocks they climb towards the peek
The summit
A cave, a cave is in sight
They throw rocks in order to draw out and living creature that may have made a home inside
No sound permeates
It is safe to enter
Fire sticks are lit and cave is entered with caution
Whispers and hushes
They stumble
Head meets rock
Blood
This is no easy life
They reach a cavernous waterhole
The first man is egged on to explore its contents
Explore its depth
The water is knee deep
Until, until he sinks out of sight and the water swallows him whole
Startled, the men scamper back to dry land
"Where has our fellow mate gone", they ask
Splashing, he reemerges
He reaches the surface and cries out
"Gold!!"
The ending is no ending but for you to decide
Captain G Feb 2017
Below the deck lies not just my crew,
but a boatload of items for me and for you.
     Tremble before it's glittering wealth,
but looking too long is bad for your health.

Can't say where we're sailing next,
since I'm a fool for any foreign object.
And ye best watch your tongue on me ship,
or else you'll find yourself taking a dip.

"Ahoy! Land **!" Shouts the man above,
"Prepare to dock" commands the captain of
The ship that always sails and that never returns,
but it always carries treasure, and tis be the name it earns.

My boyhood pocketknife
Sits in the bottom of my bedside table
My skin is healing
But I still feel a little cut
I thank God every time I leave
Say goodbye to flat land
the long stretches of road
I forget the peonies
but they still bloom in me
My old backyard is littered
with noise and ***** snow
Cold trickles into the lungs
Slowly, like it's afraid to let go
Each exhale is proof we're alive
A cloud of condensation
curling away from mouths
Small, sleeping dragons
in an even smaller city
where all the jewels are gone

I wish your camera could capture my inner landscape
for at times It would show rows of lush green meadows, deep still waters and vibrant rainbows.

I wish your camera could capture my heart ache
for at times you would see turbulent winds with violent black holes, jagged nails and deep buried gold.

I wish a your camera could capture my imagination
for you would see a worlds inisde worlds covered in oceans of pink, a dispay of unseen colours one could not possibly think.

I wish your camera could capture my thoughts
for you would see a rusty old machine operating with frozen cogs, attempting to function in a blazing fog.

I wish your camera could capture my mind
for you would finally understand this pain of mine.

Your living words are life to me
They provide the air I daily breathe
They are the bliss filling my heart
The eternal love of which I dream

Oh Lord, you are my truest treasure
The song my heart daily seeks to sing
My love exists to praise you only
For the happiness your spirit brings

I shall never look away from you
Nor your love will I ever forsake
In your shadow, I will walk gladly
With each step in life, I daily take

The whole of me will humbly serve you
Each day my soul is allowed to live
And I will never forget your blessing
When you spoke the words...I forgive.
A relationship with God is needed to bring peace and spiritual nourishment in ones life!
