As the wind breezed into the meadow, it spoke, "I can't stay here forever. I have to keep moving forward. This is how I exist. This is who I am."

The little child kept walking through the forest. Only ever stopping to look around to make sure nobody was following him. He was running away from home.

His home was a thousand miles away from where he was at the moment. Afraid and lonely. It felt only yesterday when he sat by the window within the warmth of his home.

Now all he saw was strange and confused. His eyes were having a hard time adjusting to the frequency of this wander land.

There was something barren in life here. Something felt made up and painted. There was no taste in the air. There was no feel to the wind.

Yet, he kept walking on. In silence and alone. He was sure nobody else survived. He was sure he was going no where.

And just before he was about to give up. There was a flash in the sky. So bright that the sky almost melted into a night. He felt it.

He felt it rising through the wind. It was making his heart beat faster. The bright light burst into a big cloud of fireball, almost divine by design.

The little child closed his eyes and bent down on his knees. This was salvation.

A few seconds later, he was torn apart in pieces.

The lights flicker for a moment of time to flit darkness away; veins settled the
wavering feeling of altered emotions suspended beneath my skin; as you
swiftly caressed my shivering fingers up to my fingertips—gnarly as
it may seem, but your skin will always be my favorite sense of touch.

Paint me these putrid colorless morale, mix them in your colorful palette.
Feel the thin bristles as they touch and fill empty pieces in me—a whole.
This empty hole—a ruins by destruction is my kind of Kingdom; bedazzled
by depression; crafted and molded by predicament nights; the creation of
poetry inside my tattered fabric; a vivid silhouette thought of you—touching
your lips to mine; your sweet embrace compressed my drifting confidence;
brought them back together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Beneath the vivid sepia-photographed quilt were arthritic hands holding
together; but I swear this photograph will never wither and will never be
forgotten by senility, I swear this will never wilt our lips and skin.
Therefore, I want you to touch my skin forever until this becomes another
story in my diary; another ink to dip my quill; and another voice to utter
its resonating images of the luminescent you held in your hands.

Night coming down on the land shaded red,
As cunning and quick as a fox.
I rest in a cold lonesome room and bed,
When sharply upon my door knocks;

A strange subject standing,
A freak on my landing,
The twilight refuses to show.

I stay here and wonder,
I shake from the thunder,
I fear what it is I don't know.

With a moon resting dull,
Now the night comes in full,
A horrible shriek from there calls.

With a pulsating head,
I vacate this tense bed;
Curious the way this noise falls.

Outside rain dances to thundering drums,
While lightning exposes the void.
As I creep, I peak upon toes dead numb,
The knocking is quicker deployed.

Advancing the floor I see there is more,
to this unwelcome guest received.
Slowing my pace now i reach for the door,
It opens my eyes are deceived;

Before me stands still,
In a downpours chill,
This oddly shadow cast creature.

And even as still,
The lighting is nil,
Yet I can make out main features;

Without hair skull exposed,
Lacking eyes lips and nose,
Black tongue behind finely filed spikes.

It's breath suggests death,
And the chest 'neath it's neck,
Bares broken ribs sharpened as pikes.

Behind the pointy bones,
In the gore there is shown,
My caller is lacking it's heart.

So as seemingly ******,
I now open my home,
In hopes that this beast wont depart.

Curious to know how this thing is alive,
I've opened my doors and let it inside,
I'll ask it some questions and then maybe I,
Should cut off the head to see if it dies.

Her body was battered. Any form of liquid within her circulation was stained red. It was pouring out from within her - profusely, incessantly. It overflowed out of wounds and inundated every crevice of her aching body.

She was dying.

The surface of her body was bruised. There were wounds that ran deeper than medicine could fix. Others were in the process of forming. She was weeping with a wail that could be heard loud and clear.

Her children sat watching idly.

One was ignorant, one in denial. One was oblivious. One was vigilant, observing silently.

Her dying body had spectators.

Slowly, parts of her started to lie still while others were in the process of following suit.

The continents came crashing down. The waves inside her wrecked the land she held. The jolts of her body sent earthquakes down the entire room.

Her children were disturbed for a while, but soon, they carried on with their routine. For them - it isn't over till it's over.

So she closed her eyes and let her body die. She gave up. She felt parts of her crash and burn. It was the end. It was time to go.

"I see, that's why you seem broken",he said to me,"the problem is your origin, from whence you came is in ruins, lest it be fixed you can't take another step forward or you'll cease to be", and a fear so terrifying engulfed me, my knees buckled and my eyes stung with tears. I wanted to scream, I wanted them to know my anguish, feel my fears, know my pain. What purpose was the life I'd led to this point and I asked him,"what if my origin ceased to exist?" And he looked at me with, was that uncertainty? Terror? In his eyes, I was too disoriented to discern and he told me,"boy, then the life ahead of will be one with unimaginable suffering, but should your will stay alive remain unwavering and you survive, then what comes next I am uncertain but one thing is for certain, you'd be different and probably powerful, if you wish to continue, go but make sure a part of you remains the same, do not forget who you are. The little one will stay with me till you return". In that moment I knew what I had to do, Cien couldn't go with me and I had to come back alive for her.
About yesterday, having fun with imagination.

Now there he is, dying
In old age he suffers
from liver damage he dies
Though he suffers

He smiles.

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a night
This is the night she dies
He cries
She smiles

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a day
The day of their anniversary
It was there last
Though he know
He smiles

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a night
The night his son
Had a son
He is very happy
He smiles

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There was once a day
The day of a wedding
The wedding of his child
He smiles

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a night
The night his son
Goes to college
He is sad

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a day
The day his son
Have gone to school
He is proud

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a night
A Night like no other
The birth of his son
He smiles

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a day
They knew
He is a father
He have a son

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a night
A sad night
They fought
A misunderstanding

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a day
The best of his days
The day of their wedding
He is very joyful

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a night
The night he proposed
She said yes
He remembers

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There once a day
The day they met
She was beautiful
She still is

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles

There are more memories
He could not remember
But in his heart
It stays forever

His quiet thoughts
He thinks
He remembers
He smiles
He dies in peace

He thought for a second before turning away and said "Don't mistake it for a mere co-incident, luck or fate. It's so much bigger than that, like you see in a movie every single time and you do what ?, You disagree, you say things like these don't happen in the real world. You are only afraid because it is so simple. And it is so simple. That's why you are more scared than surprised, I can see it in your eyes."

She whispered in the ushering silence
"But why did it happen the way it did?"

He took a deep breath. Staring at the floor, and like an inspired teacher addressing a curious student, he began in a gloomy tone..

"It was meant to happen and it did, as simple as that. Nothing is perfect, and that tiny amount of imperfection we can never erase, that tiny percentage of something unexpected. That separates us from the world, because the world without us is perfect and meaningless.

He paused for a brief moment as if he was reflecting on his words.

" It needs us, our stories, Because equilibrium is ****** and boring. And yet everything runs towards it, the reason things exist and we breathe. Chaos has always been very instrumental in the making of our world, random chances that were gifted too many number of times. That cannot be mere co-incidence, luck or fate. And that's why this also cannot be so."

She just stood there absorbing every feeling that she could retain for tomorrow.

Now twenty years later, watching her  children play with her husband of fifteen years.

She finally understood.
