God speaks to us in the language of our ancestors
We find truth in the lineage of our hearts,
and a new God is revealed,
from a unique truth
that is God’s expression through you.
Do you think the living God
would play the trickster god
to kneel before humanity’s god of fear?
Say you look like this,
but I look like that?
How could living be
but what you are
and you are always changing.
Living is forever
and forever
is never
the same.
Ever.
Think you know?
Then think two more times.
We know what we have passed aside.
Make way for your redeemer.
A newer version
of the completion
of the promise you made
when you promised
to seek the truth
no matter the cost
or pain.

And when you gaze upon the face,
the one you always knew was there
peering back at you,
Heaven’s gates spring wide
and hell’s fury feasts
on milk and honey saints.
Come now
and reason with me;
for fortunes,
and endings
and the whole **** web.

If you sit in silence
the God of your ancestors
will come to you -
if you want to see.
The living God is there to see
like trains passing on tracks
of inbound & outbound dreams.

she said you are prisoner of your feet
a rootless tree on fleet!

I said no one told me
I needed to fit
I walk to find, to meet
all of it

she didn't realize what
she wanted to mean
I am incapable of
arriving

She walked away a while later
but I told to her wake.
My heart sure is higher than my feet
yet never without, not even a beat.
This poem explored self-awareness through relationship dynamics of a couple. It hints how communication between two might have multiple levels despite both not being fully aware.

I’m sure that you believe the words you speak
As they roll off of your tongue like the tide following the moon
Words full of consolation meant to calm and heal
But where the years have made you kind
Those same years have made me wise
And as your words fall to my ears
All I can hear are lies
you
walk around- all around
see their eyes
these eyes upon you

see around, all abound
in truth and lies that
suddenly drown you

you are not a you-
yourself
you are a you-
that you made
yourself

what you call you
are bits and bobs
of other people
that you like

what you call you,
is the result
of what you see
in all there eyes

therefore-

if you want to see
you- the you
and not you- the other

you'll have to see
the you that's seen
by all the many others

look in their eyes
look without fear or terror
stare into their eyes
for they are merely mirrors

the you that you see
through them
is the you that you are
there and then

searching for the truth
buried inside
buried beneath layers of expectation
apprehension and self-doubt
confidence camouflaged by reality
soul-searching scrutiny
suspicion and speculation

are we who we really are?

I have pine
growing inside of me.
Strong and thick and
resilient,
but not unbendable–
and able to be shaped.

There have been fires
inside of me as well—
burning away the old
beliefs and scars,
and shaping me once again
into something new.

From the tiniest of sprouts—
from sapling, to mighty
young fir, and old wise
redwood; I will grow
peace and endurance
and strength and hope.
