When flowers are silent,
And fireflies ready to fly.
When shining stars are the highlight
of the day passing by.

When the darkness is cleaning in silence, all the tangled thought mess.
When crickets sprinkle their music,
adding wonderful tones to the dark sparkly canvas of bless.

Some say the darkness holds danger
in its invisible arms.
That it is old Satan's favourite set,
and demons stand there with cams.

Don't be fooled by the cowards
that stand right behind.
Nighttime sensations are the best you can find.
Look at the stars
Watch them glisten,
Brighten the night sky
Not a care in a world

Take their lead
Watch what they do
Give it a chance
Forget your woes

Pause
Don't think
Lay down
Watch them glisten

Let your mind wander
Close your eyes
Feel the world around you
Disappear

Watch
As you become a star
Leave it alone
Don't bother with it
See what happens
Don't look back

Take a deep breath
Think it through
Relax
You will pull through

Why worry
Stress over it
Lose countless hours
Countless moments of ease

Take it as it comes
You'll figure a way out
No matter what happens
You're stronger than that

Close your eyes
Put your hand to your heart
Take a moment ...
Breathe
Brett Palmero Aug 2019
One emotion after the other
Coming and running amok
Tearing our souls asunder
Down our sanities struck

Each feeling its own complex
Trapped in our minds
Tangled with the rest
Pushed up against the sides

Tug at one thread
And the rest tighten
Gripping you with dread
Panicked as you're fighting

"Stop thinking"
You open your eyes
"Stop worrying"
From your mind, you rise

Threads of the heart
Need no understanding
They're simply art
Weaving and dancing
Emotions are a tangled mess. Sometimes we need to stop trying to untangle it and just let it become art.

i always have to guess what comes next
i always try my best then end up with less
the less you expect the less the stress
chances to correct your mess and rest
a messy head and a messy bed
paint the room a depressing red
dread is a part of my culture shock
can't get far before those vultures knock
poltergeists they haunt my nights
don't need to fight, they're gone, i'm alright
