People say you are
the same person as yesterday,
your not.
Everyday
you get a new chance,
a start over,
a complete redo.
Thats why life,
life is such a
beautiful thing.

So many questions, I dare ask why.
Boundless choices, I choose not to tie.

So many wonders under the sky,
Awaiting my view, but can I?

So many people I shall not pry,
Keep no secrets, tell no lie.

So many things I want to try,
All my desires I dare not deny.

From all the adventures I will not shy,
For one day I will die.

You came in like a whiff of fragrance
of the most sensational flowers.
You smelled like heaven.

You came in my life like water
to the most parched lips.
You tasted like heaven.

But then came autumn.
And I desperately tried to stick back the leaves
when it’s no longer the proper season.
Everything was going wrong.
But, nothing felt as right as ignorantly loving you.

Maybe, on some distant planet light-years away,
the concept "love" might not even exist.
So, I sigh deep to that
and confess to you -
*Dear right person, wrong time,
Just as we said hello, we needed to say goodbye.
PS - I am still hopeful for a right time with HIM. Nothing is permanent. Or is it?

Sometimes bad things happen when you let people in:
It’s easy to be fooled by your feelings within
And harder to really see what hides beneath the skin.
Building up walls is simple and hasty
The perfect defense if used with strategy
But after time it won’t be so easy.
People try to break your barrier
The damage makes the threat even scarier
And you run because you know you can no longer carry her.
What’s the point in trying to protect your heart?
When you and everyone will always stay apart
Because your “genius” walls aren’t so smart.
She’ll give up when you keep lying
And you’ll blame her for “not trying”
Cause you now feel like you’re dying.
So stop fighting and watching your own mind
You’d be surprised at what you’d find
When you let her in blind.
Shutting people out may keep you from getting hurt but it will also keep you from feeling love.

DAG NAB IT!!
Different day, same ****
& here I am back at it
Such a love/hate kind of habit
Speeding up the pace, gotta go like the White Rabbit

Although, I'm not going to be late
I'm just TOO impatient for time & it's hard to wait
I'm sure some of you, at times, can relate
Like when you're ready a tad bit early for a date
Time seems to go so much slower, which I ******* hate!

Of courser I am well aware
This habit is the reason I've got extra time to spare
& that is when I do & redo & redo my hair
Which I do quite often, not doing it is actually what's rare
Just another fun little FYI fact I'd like to share
& yes I know, you probably don't really care

A list of 'to do's' are done with such a quickness
Cleaning is a breeze, it should always be like this
I guarantee you though, there will be something I miss
I get so sidetracked, that's what my problem is....

Days have no end & nights rapidly just begin
Enters is turned up, my blood is steadily pumping under my skin
Creativity is leaking & starting to overflow from within
WHOA SHOCKER! Another race with the sun & yet again I win!
I don't always have the greatest self discipline
****....this habit is one hell of a bittersweet sin!!

This may not be,
the last thing I write,
or
the last thing I see.

"I loved her and
                            I never knew her"

This will be the last
                            thing I say,
this will be said on my
                            dying out of the fray,

unless
          many
                   years
before
I seize the day.  Seize...
the moment.
Time measures,
people travel,
time travel measures people....and other silly notions
all of my exes
like closed pages from a book
emanate some lesson
if that's all i really took
relationships are time well-served
don't regret a single one
but i must insist
i got used to this
and i'm glad that they are all done
all done, but one
but that's how it works
no more turning another page
and in marriage we're stuck
until one of us dies from old age
if love is a test
then we've artfully persevered
so no going back to an ex
or moving onto the next
since my exes were really all kind of weird
was just thinking about the people i have let get close to me in life. and this was just fun to write.

I listened to my heartbeat,
It sounded like a tune,
Sounded like a tune that I’d beat for you.
Rhythmically it plays,
From high to low
Smooth to rough,
In tones it grows.
One day a screeching beep you’ll hear,
As it slowly fades and never to return again.
Enjoy this tune while it lasts,
So you won’t have to look back and regret your past.
Screeching beep is the sound you hear when you’re lying in the hospital bed, and you’re attached to that machine and then  heart stops beating, and it’s no longer that squiggly line, but a straight line

Out of my head I've spun
& to think I've only just begun
Too much to do & see, I'm having too much fun
I'm not even close to being done

All my personalities are starting to shine
& NO, I'm not crazy, really I'm fine
My personalities are just a hobby of mine
They do their best to stay on their side of the line

A best friend to share the madness that I can't contain
Each days adventures create memories & more happiness we gain
Even through the craziest missions, still BFFs we remain
Our lives are exciting & fun, very far from plain

Remember, if you can, to take risks & laugh a lot
Don't be greedy, instead make the most & the best from what you've got
Never regret the things you've done, whether it was bad or not
Everything happens for a reason, just don't forget the lesson you were taught

Now that that has been said
& I've written enough with my colorful ink pens, of course never any pencil lead
My mind is finally a bit more quiet since I've cleared my head
By creating some interesting poems to someday be read!
