You came in like a whiff of fragrance
of the most sensational flowers.
You smelled like heaven.

You came in my life like water
to the most parched lips.
You tasted like heaven.

But then came autumn.
And I desperately tried to stick back the leaves
when it’s no longer the proper season.
Everything was going wrong.
But, nothing felt as right as ignorantly loving you.

Maybe, on some distant planet light-years away,
the concept "love" might not even exist.
So, I sigh deep to that
and confess to you -
*Dear right person, wrong time,
Just as we said hello, we needed to say goodbye.
PS - I am still hopeful for a right time with HIM. Nothing is permanent. Or is it?
