On the sky, cloud’s write,
The west wind reads it aloud:
‘Monsoon phantasy’!
Krishnapriya May 2018
Sometimes the rain drops
are so big and succulent
like mangoes
and tears
and temple bells
at dawn

The parched earth
smiles
and welcomes all
in her embrace
the rain drops
ripe mangoes
endless tears
and mystic sound
of temple bells
at dawn
Monsoon rains are here upon us and big, big, raindrops bless our parched land with smiles. :)

when instead the sun can become a magician
and radiate wonders when it disappears
just witnessed the first breathtaking sunset of April after a stream of bad weather days

I need to pick a season
A season that I like,
Need to stick with it
And stay with it,
The choice that I arrive.

It's hard to have a favourite
When all seasons are sweet,
Snow-fall, sunny rays and rainy days,
All are trying to compete.

But monsoon never comes too soon,
Winter stays for four full moons
And summer is always unpredictable;
Shines bright to burn me down
Or never enough to blind me out.

With summer comes he
With blasting A/C and an LIT,
Bronze skin and bright smile,
Bottomless pitchers and endless miles.

Monsoon is an affair
With books and solitude;
Too much black coffee
And burnt-out candles,
And an independent attitude.

Alas, winter brings with it a longing
for someone who is never corresponding,
Craving him to keep me warm
But he was never mine to belong.

These seasons have a preference instead
They chose their people with actions unsaid.
It's fine I didn't get to pick my favourite season,
I guess I would never know,
Some things happen for a reason.

I hate it when -
the sun rejected
love from the cloud;
and made it
cry every day
during the monsoon,

And yet
the sun still tries
to shine brightly
over the clouds
as if the storm
never happened.
My love was not justified, and will never happen.
Found this old poem lying somewhere in my documents.

If ever being of tired,  ghostly in the middle of the night l turned back to your side.
Still  I will not keep my eyes in your eyes anymore.
Like the compass of the Sailor, I will remain the constant North star.
Still the sail of your ship will not blow by my wind anymore.
If ever in your black eyes, when does the cloud get closer.
I will droped from your eyes like the water of the monsoon.
And will not stay in your eyes anymore.
Like in the shape of the blind, I will stay remain in the dark.
And like the dream I will not live  in your eye anymore.
I will not keep my eyes in your eyes with gap of the eyeglasses anymore.

Song bird,on the branch on the top,
of my tree of life, you wake me up
with sweet twitter, each day a new one,
to my bitter sighs you give your ears,
day and night and remain my true comfort,
in every change of weather, may it be
monsoon torrent, winter freeze or spreading gloom

Little bird you know this well
never ever would I take you for granted,
you are the spirit that bring me cheer,
keep my nest such a quiet space for peace.
take the fledglings, under your sturdy wings
keep your glad eye on my desires that
seldom sleeps day or night, till it's told.

In this nest, it's your hallow that fills, spills out, too
in every twig of this nest we built, is the mark
of your efficient beak, that worked to move it there!

Petite you are,but it's so deceptive
my talisman and shield, none but you are that,
if my songbird's eyes by chance fill,my heart bleeds!

The world is full of colors.
Mine is Dull , muted , grey
Couldn't ask for better weather
The clouds , this breeze and the pouring rain
Everything is perfect
Except the numbness --
I'm not complaining ,
just getting used to having my coffee this morning without you .

The view from the top of the mountain
Will be something I'll never forget

Be it a breeze of crisp Autumn relief
Or a shower of monsoon regret
First write in a long time
