Why do you think I'll be quiet this time?
All that you said were filthy old lies.
I've written a letter, it's addressed to her,
The truth that she maybe needs to know?
Before making a choice to spend her whole life with you,
A person who wished that I was his only truth,
How do you guys just turn off all your love?
And chose someone who clearly wasn't enough.
I'm sick of your lies, you broke your promise,
To stay as a friend, you treat me like nonsense.
You've made your choice, I want to make mine,
To set the truth free, so that I can fly.
You had your chance to make the things right,
But made it all worse by staying aside,
I'm not some trash and you need a lesson,
Promises broken can turn really messy.
You'll make my life hell, I know that for sure,
When that all happens I'll be living no more.

Alas, for I am master of my pen;
But Calliope is mistress of me.
‘I kept reaching for my muses, my wandering muses, floating on clouds filled with their passions.’
- Chimnese Davids, Muses of Wandering Passions
onyx hair, with eyes to match
-silver tongue and cast iron wit
wielded by one no other can match
deserving of the throne she sits
this mistress is a cruel one

Time is a tricky mistress,
I'm sure of that,
Full tricks up her sleeve.
But the truth is,
I didn't expect this.

I don't put it all on her,
I don't put my feelings all on her.
But I do place the time on her.

Some people grow apart,
Some people grow parallel,
Some people grow perpendicular,
And some people grow together.

I don't know how we grew,
But it feels like we've been growing together for a while.
It seems only our tricky mistress, Time, will tell,
But Time seems to have a thing for surprises

that mistress
fills you up and falls
apart; lest the air
boil up and consume the
heart

sour and steep and stoic
like a rock upon the mount
my yearning for the mistress of the
night

she bind you and stolen
away that little gift from
above; above yet she descended

her fingers like gold and iron
hair as strong as her heart
silver encrusts the lining of the
soul but betrays not a single
phrase

lament on your behalf and
seal the fate of the future and
fate of the wealth of the triumphs

***** motels and decrepit
churches, she preys
yet against their better wishes does the bird
go on singing and singing and singing

pray the lord my soul to keep and pray
the devil my world to weep
