I long for you.

I long to feel the warmth of your body,
close to mine.
I long to stare and wander in that eyes of yours,
a world to me.
I long to catch every phrase of love,
that comes out from your mouth,
feeling safe and real,
all at once.

We're connected souls,
standing at the edge of the rocks,
in front of the biggest ocean.
Letting the wind touch our cheeks,
and the sand kiss our feet.
Yes we are apart now,
miles away.
Across the sea,
too far to reach.

I long for you,
but tomorrow is just a breath away.
A few blinks of eyes and minutes to stay.
Until we could finally smile,
face to face.
No longer through the screen of our phones,
but hands in hands.

Bits and bytes over the wire
Kindled the LDR love so far
Poetic verses heart inspire
First meeting feelings unbar

Mind and heart inquire
Intellect wins emotions ajar
She said ain't gonna work esquire

Then came her note
Hard to let go, you still mine?
May be it ain't over yet
Give it some more time

Listen to  hearts plea
Let it be free
Today it's only seven,
Twenty five may beckon

Eighteen days to next date
LDR love will update
Not for good bye
But for two hearts to fly

In this new world so connected digitally
Online with your smartphone or desktop continuously
Every touch or click with your fingers sublimely
Connecting messaging chatting seductively
Rush of dopamine brain lives ecstatically
Bits and bytes that rise and fall emotionally
Waiting for physical touch earnestly
LDR love seem to be extraordinarily
Yet to see LDR grows into LTR eventually

I see the sunrise
and it lies within your eyes
that golden sunset from a mile                                                             
 is like a glimpse of your smile

The blue skies are drifting
and I can hear your heart beating
looking across the endless shores
nothing but you in my mind forevermore

The stars above in constellation
watching them like you in perfection
the waves in motion, crashing down
then I feel you beside me, safe and sound

I sit beneath the moon  
the wind blows and jives in tune
listening to the mountain's croon
whispering to me that you'll be here soon
