You'll struggle to find a home
Without smiling pictures hanging
On the walls.
No matter where you go,
You'll always find a home
With smiling pictures hanging
On the walls.
Because who would want to remember unhappiness
Because a wall is but an ideal of what you wish to be
Because no one would hang the sad pictures
On the walls.

You may not be the same again
Hate to see you suffer all night
Have made life hard sometimes
Believe me I need your light
About my mom and her recent health troubles

The stars look crueler

As they watch you die

Beneath their light.

There are too many of them in the sky

With too much hate filling their eyes

They've seen hundreds of you before

They will see

Hundreds more

You think you deserve to be here

You've been praying quietly

These past few years.

You think you can hear them

Whispering about you

Above you

They knew you'd never make it

You know you don't belong

You know this mountain will be

Just as cold

Just as lonely

In two hundred years

As it is tonight

Finding warmth in a broken body

Found dead

By light

There are too many stars in the sky

With too much hate filling their eyes

They've seen hundreds of you before

They will see

Hundreds more

Did your family know you went terminal

When you booked that flight?

The way they held you as you said goodbye

You think they just might

You wish you could call home

With your last dying breath

And tell them you'll be gone

Someone finally chose your death

But that call will come

From an unknown number

From a voice too rough

Calling on a night

With too many stars

Filling up your sky

And from then on

Your sister wears a smile

That says she just wants to die

I had a thought today.
About you and me.

And it was that.
I’ve never wanted a little version of me ruining around.
But god do I want a little version of you.

There have been other years
when the gross ache of being apart
was caused by the spiral growth of life,
but it was ours,
easily fixed by a Boxing Day trip
or a warm January shindig.
This year’s exponential spiral
stifles all but the cold binary of a zoom call
and fans smouldered ire at the avoidable
there is camaraderie
and sometimes just that
loose affiliation which brings
us together in a common purpose.

Christmas is coming although one
can't be really sure
perhaps this year it'll be marginalised
like the outcast and the poor,
but perhaps not.

I'm full of hope
I have to be,
unchanging
even as things change
around me,

She grounds me from these
flights of fancy,
anchors me
in this storm.

I don't need you but you need me, you want me to stay but I want to leave.
I'm not your perfect "daughter", just like your not a perfect father.
I don't want your issues, you gave me all of your horrible conditions.
All the things you went through, you've put me through too.
If you want me happy, then why do you say what you say, it's nasty

He liked going out with them
As they behaved in public
He loved the guests
As in front of them
No one abused
