Was I dreaming,
Or was I roaming.
I ain’t understand the fact,
Which encourages people to act.
You will get the impact,
When you will sit back.
The reason being,
Suicide is increasing.
The reason to which,
People change their life switch.
Get infected and on death bed,
Dying without getting treated.
No money, poor life,
Not able to save his wife.
Helpless and innocent,
Buried or burnt.
This goes on,
Take precaution,
To curb this action.

This quarantine has left us wrecked
Mental illness we can no longer neglect
nearly everyone has become depressed
family bonds have been put to the test

This level of trauma is hard to bare
We were nowhere near prepared

People say this might happen again in the future
Hopefully it’s just a rumor

Only time will tell
Hopefully we can break this spell

I wish we could be sure
Because it is not something I wish to re-endure

Even when this clears
I will still live in fear

With a pantry fully stocked
a secret stash of hand sanitizer locked
Maybe then I won’t be so shocked

People have died
Yet some believe it’s all a big lie

The way this seems to work
I am sure it will lurk

In the back of our minds it will stay
Until it comes back one day

The  world sits in fear
we have to hold THE LORD near

tbough some drip a-tear
pray, uplift to show a-care

We see LIFE is very dear
as all other things- locked out in the rear

Cherish the moment you share
and with the rhythm of nature you hear
taking life forgranted we shan't longer dare

The bad times soon would goodbye wave
since restoration is what we crave

Earth seek to heal in many ways
and with the healing rays
The SUN of Justice shall rise
and shall we arise
from our seats
Holding life more than dear

#staySafe , keep the world safe!

What she saw stole her innate calm.

She could see from across the room that he was in trouble. A kid, stumbling towards her. Desperate for her.

Eyes wild with fear and fatigue. 14, 15, maybe he's 16?

She knew from experience gained over a few months that he had an hour--maybe--before the weakness she saw stole his primordial drives.

A life is on the line

She wraps the plastic gown around her, she bends the metal of her timeworn mask against the bridge of her nose. She hides her hair in a net. She covers her feet with booties. All done with purpose. All done at full tilt.

His name is Paul. And he is scared.

She is by his side when his eyes roll back in his head. He's still breathing, still holding her hand but his eyes have gone white from the work of it all. His head swivels on its axis from north to south. "Please " is all he  can manage to exhale.

"****" she thinks,  as his oxygen saturation registers at 20%.

A life is on the line.

10 days later. Countless like him have come and gone.

But, it's the exhausted exhale exchanged in
his final plea
that leaves her breathless now.

A life is on the line

Am I awake?
This simulation feels so real
My every waking moment
Masks and hazmat suits fuel my fear
This ******* nightmare
Somebody get me out of here

I don't know what I'm saying
I just don't ******* sleep
They wait for me inside my dreams
Another **** stain
On some brand new sheets

Now In a few days
I'll be back on the street
Old holes holes in my socks
The same dirt on my jeans
In the back of my head
I know I'll never really leave

Wake me up again
Slice my skin
Take my blood
Push my medicine
Experience in hospital during Covid-19.
A few weeks and 2 major surgeries. I wrote this when I hadn't slept in over 5 full days.

The poem is about my state if mind during this particular hospital stay.

It's not a macho thing.
It's not a Republican choice.
He's not worried
We won't hear his voice.
He just can't wear a mask,
It's not because of manly fears;
It's just Putin
Likes to hold
**** lickers by their ears.
The mask would keep slipping off with each lick.

She wanna text
*******
Been 75 + days
Imagination keeps us going, snapchat, bitmojis, custom stickers and ****
I never sweat it though
Because I know,
I can get her wet
And I can make her laugh
And I'm the person she facetimes when she's in the bubble bath
So even from a distance,
Still gotta be consistent.
You know how it goes though
Even when we were at campus we worlds a part at times and we both know.
Not in another country but that distance stretch for miles
30 mintues out turned into 2 hours and a bit
Sometimes we question if it's worth it
Pros and cons , convinces us that this might be legit.
So we'll snap and text for another 75+ days
if we have to
So be it close together or spaced apart
Locked down, isolated quarantined,
or, close together, sharing a breath, chest to chest, heart to heart
Love lives here and besides we've got to settle the bill
Love is an infection a virus can't ****.

Fatalities turned rampant,
Felonies a usual.
Voices unheard,
Victims lay fallen.
The hypocrisy unfolds,
They hide from their lies.
Affluent cocooned in bubbles,
Anguish spread in commons.
Tough we ought to be as
Time's run out

Or is it?

"If everyone around you is forced into the Bubble,
Then you don't need to wear a mask."
