I’m going to Republican heaven,
Going to meet Republican Jesus
After I pay off my school loans
Whenever my banker pleases
To let me out of the contract
With its usurious interest fees
And I am sure I will get there
When I am down on my knees.

I’ll have my Republican Bible
With its verses edited wisely
To exempt all the white folk
From behaving quite nicely
And making sure welfare
Is only for rich white neighbors
The rest are not allowed in
Our society except as laborers.

I am sure that Republican Jesus
Will welcome me quite warmly
For supporting the death toll
Of our Christian Soldier army.
He will be so delighted that
We vilified ungodly abortions
And how we treated those awful
Poor mothers and their orphans.

He will have to be delighted
That we held back the riches
We gained from our warfare
Ignoring our soldiers in ditches
Or maimed in those battles
We know you wanted us to wage
In the name of Republican Jesus
Out of our holy sense of rage.

Republican Jesus surely will
See how cleverly we diverted
The money to the richest people
Not the soldiers we deserted.
And, how only the people who
Did not need help financially
Got all the extra wealth we had
And we made sure of it annually.

I’m going to Republican heaven,
Going to meet Republican Jesus
And I’m sure greed and bigotry
Will just tickle him to pieces
Because it says in the Bible
The only people who will get in
Are the people that look like me
And vote for all the same men.

In his address to Congress,
The Donald brazenly
revealed plans to spread fear through
a brand new agency.

It will report and list all crimes
by each new immigrant,
to heighten paranoia's spread
amongst the ignorant.

By fanning fiery flames of fear,
the bigots shall rejoice,
and they shall love the agency
that Trump is naming "VOICE".

Victims
Of
Immigration
Crime
Engagement

Now, I propose an agency
to give another choice,
that balances the propaganda
to be spread by VOICE...

An agency that recognizes
Donald's vile role
as chief hatemonger of the world.
It shall be named, "A$$HOLE".

How dare you say that about him
With your rage and disgust
Say I must not think that such a creature
as this deserves love
The touch of those that care
Who are you to say what form
For and function this touch shall take and where your judgement ceases
Who are you to state your idolatry is true
Proclaim falsehood in those who's deity has a different face to yours
Like You have the definitive verse
The structure
The nouns to describe something so complex
As he craves this touch
And so does he
That this worship is wrong
Who are you to frame love as such?
Oh but you possess the zealotry
And belief that all are entitled to your vulgarity

When just the simple act of you holding me
Or me holding space
Still and fast, is just
No more than one wishing one
That no harm will come to you
My friend, within these arms

This is not more than a different path to the embodiment
Of similar ideals that you seek to protect with your anger
What's the sum of these actions
These words
They create such a schism
A rift tween what you know of as love
And those you believe do not deserve
Those you consider abomination
Base.
Not understanding that collective savagery builds a gentle soul as much as creates a monster
So tear them limb from limb in your closeted ignorance
Wearing a mantel of charity but with blood on your hands

How do you square that, and still feel you deserve to call yourself human.
Look around
Your fear does not serve you nor make you strong and true
And never will
While I still stand
Nothing ****** me off faster or more effectively than bullies

It's funny I seem to think,
How small your mind is,
I think it still shrinks.

It's tiny.....little and small.
I think we all get it,
It's anything but tall.

You have no perception,
You're riddled with fear.

You question all the others,
Just why are you here?

Is there something your missing?
A lie you've yet told?

Are you ashamed too?
Of the secrets you hold?

You see,I stand in the sun.
With my arms open wide

I'm proud of who I am,
Yet you cower inside.

Away in the shadows,
Screaming out lies.

No I am not a coward,
I love who I desire,

Maybe one day you'll learn how
To extinguish your fire.
It's taken me a long time to finally believe, I am who I am. This is for anyone who has ever hated for the wrong reasons. Love is love.

Shine away your bluesies,
   C                                                         G7
Why don't you shine, start with your shoesies;
   E7                           Am7                       C7
Shine each place up, make it look like new,
   D7                                           G7
Shine your face up, I want to see you wear a smile or two.

      C                             G7
Cause my skin's light creamy,
       C                                    G7
Just because my eyes are greeny;
     E7                 Am7                          C7
Just because I lack some shade of brown,
    D7                                                  F7
Don't stop me from funking down when I funk uptown... Funk!

C                       G7
Cause I dig rap music,
E7                               Am7                C7
With jazz and blues I boogie all the time;
  F                                 Cdim
Just because I jive to Reggae,
  C                          A7        D7            G7
That's the reason, Baby, why they call me...

Drop the name tags, see me the way you want me seeing you.

   C                               G7
Why don't you shine, your these and thoseies,
   E7                                            Am7       C7
You'll find everything's gonna turn out fine;

  F                            Cdim.    C
Folks will shine up to ya, everybody's
                                       A7
gonna howdy-doody do ya;
  D7                     G7                C
You'll make the whole world shine.

      C                                            G7
So, clap your hands, shout Hallelujah,
     E7                             Am7                   C7
You'll find everyone's much the same inside;
    F                      Cdim
You know we all share blame,
C                                                                    A7
Don't “Howdy-doody Whitey” cause that ain't my name,
D7                           G7                 C
And we'll turn the world colour blind.
"Shine" is an old Louis Armstrong song. I used two of the original verses, and added several of my own, and re-named it, "Shine On."
This is an edit and repost. The chords are for the uke, but should work on any instrument. This song is anti-racist, anti-prejudice, and anti-bigotry.

This veneer of civilization
So vexatious in its impression.

Words adroit, adept, artificial,
So artful is the communication.

Gestures gentle soft, controlled,
So measured is the emotion

Visage serene, cool, pliant
So unfazed is the digression.

Eyes moist, weary, weathered,
Yet sensible is the suppression.

Thoughts random running havoc,
Yet accepted is the discretion.

Emotions roiling seething simmering
Yet artificial is the expression.

This veneer of civilization
Such progressive regression
