A fall from Grace
Uncertain in life's
race.
Thrown from Olympus,
My stars shut, my
Lots cast
Sitting in death's shade,
I breathe my last
Drawn from memories'
Abundant harvest
I take a stroll
Walking through
It's fields
Ripened tears,
Green smiles
That blossom
Sorrow
Hades beckons,
Heart drops
A fall from Grace
Is life's uncertain race.
Based on Alexander the great's last days spent in the bosoom of his four generals before his demise...dedicated also to anyone who's lost a loved one or someone dear .
She was the poem
I couldn't read.
Blurred lines of
Love dipped in
Sauce  of perplexing beauty
mixed
With commas and stops.

Confusing
emotions, displayed
In iambs and rhymes
Of this and that,
My heart  sighs,
turns the page.
She was the poem I couldn't read.
Dedicated to all unrequited lovers
archana May 2020
a drowning depth of your
cobalt coloured eyes. I stand
stumped.
an abyssopelagic. lost in a delusion,
where we promise to
meet in our frayed, paper-thin clouded
dreams.
the moon-glade, bouncing off your
translucent pale skin, I watch
the reflections of the weeds withering.
your eyes, containing the ineffable
oceans. a shade of
verdigris. a blueish, green colour.
holding sparks of doom.
incandescence filled despair. how can
shadowy sadness be sparkly?
you laugh. and it reminds me of the
sounds the waves make, to each other,
before they lash onto my toes
on a windy twilight.
a hold on a fiery disposition. yet,
a conceding decision. to tie my
dancing, paint tinted fingers, to remain
your caged bird of possession;
a sigh escapes my lips. stuck in an endless loophole,
a luminous filled deception.
Waves of love
Splashing
Tides  of smiles
With strokes
Of laughter
Echoes in every corner.
  If
you could
Say cheese
I'd knock on your heart
With a flower
Waiting for your picture
Leaving a note
Saying
"Darling you're mine".
Based on kidis say cheese
Through generations
It comes to me
Kicked me a
" hello"
When I was weaning
In nature's Bower
Reverberating streams
Of laughter

It came to me
Often with a baton
Taking a stroll through time
Plucking strands of sweet sounds

We walked with people
Black and White
Red or wine
Walked past piano's dazzling concertos
And drugged past drums

Sitting in thought's
Blissful tower
It whispered
"Music for a while
Shall all thy woes
Begone"
Dedicated to my brother, composer , counter tenor and choir director Samuel yawson(yawsmight music)
We wrote
To keep humanity living.
Preserving
life's immortality
Stored  up
In the everliving
Lines of poetry.
Dedicated to all poets especially poets on hello poetry .

The buildings are square
Lost is the taste
Profits are calling
Often built in haste
What an insult to the past
In this beautiful space
Opportunity to inspire
But more than likely a waste
City thoughts
A cut on these fingers
Running down these hands
I waited eagerly for u
Was it to happen
Should I tread passages
Hoping to see u again
I waited eagerly for u
Sleeping gently by the silhouette
I waited for u
Page after page
You filled up
I waited, love, I waited
Till I withered
In a stop of the ink
Never to continue.
Slowly I sunk
Titanically,
I waited in poetry's arms
How do you feel if u miss someone
Sofia Rybkina Feb 2020
I look out the window.
A plain landscape I see there
Is full of some peculiar aesthetics.
I look at it, thinking,
The goal is to be a butterfly,
Not a cockroach in the eyes of God.
The goal is to enjoy what is given,
And not to crave for.
Good usually comes by unnoticed,
Evil is always talked about.
Your life is an image
In the book of the Universe,
The goal is to come by unnoticed.
No matter what the reward is,
Guilt is heavier than magnanimity.
Fighting is not about blood,
Striving is not about vengeance,
Life is not about being black-hearted.
Your life is a tiny world
Inside the giant monster.
Turn this monster into a well-doer
By showing it your own generosity,
And it will give you someone to estimate
Your shape and your aesthetics.
