My Dream
Sumedh Nov 2018
I was flying in the air,
I was walking on the water,
I had overwhelming power,
I couldn't get any better.

All of a sudden I heard uncanny voice,
It looked like it was dragon,
It was burning down the city,
I couldn't leave him slacken.

I asked him to leave in peace,
He said "kid just stop the prattle",
I didn't really meant to hurt him,
But it was time for us to battle.

We used all of our powers,
And exchanged some 100 blows,
I was losing my conciousness,
As I felt my heart beat slows.

Suddenly it got lil weird,
Dragon pushed me to and fro,
He started yelling in a woman's voice,
I felt someone tickling my toe.

The voice got much more louder,
I saw my mom and brother,
With a frown I soon realised,
That it was all my dream none other.

I requested my mom,
I was feeling kinda nettled,
"Wake me up a bit later
I must go back to sleep",
Coz I had left a battle unsettled !
Everyone had their own silly fantasies as a child and vague dreams and thoughts....
That thought brought me to write these few stanzas... Happy Children's Day y'all !

Queen of Hearts
Sumedh Jul 2020
Set your foot, in the world of cards,
Try to build a house, watch it turn to shards.
It's easy to be deceived, better perfect your arts,
For the card you hold dear to you,
Might not be your queen of hearts.
The entire poem is a metaphor and the reader can find his/her own meaning out of it. But can you find the real meaning behind this poem?
Hint: It's absolutely not about Cards.

I just have to give a fuck
Sumedh Nov 2018
One **** two *****,
Three ***** four,
I just have to give a ****,
It's always less or more.

I really can't help it,
If it's the person I adore,
I just have to give a ****,
Even if it's **** *** or *****.

You can always count on me,
Just try and give a call,
I just have to give a ****,
Whether it's matter of peace or brawl.

I don't really give a ****,
If you're dead to me lol,
But I just have to give a ****,
For my family, friends and all
Haha this was a really quick poem made by me for a friend of mine who tagged me in a post with the poem called "I just don't have to give a ****"
I hope you like it....

I Still Remember That Day
Sumedh Feb 2020
Gleam of sunshine strikes,
Your face I see, narrowing my eyes,
Another beautiful dream?, I ask myself,
That warm fuzzy feeling in your lap as I lay,
I still remember that day.

Filter coffee, scrambled eggs n bread,
Sip by sip I gaze you, see you blushing red,
Your eyes signal me "hurry up, we gotta leave"!
I smile, I promise I won't be the one to delay,
I still remember that day.

Out we set, crossing unparallel roads,
With every milestone something new unfolds,
Passing trees, passing peaks, you suddenly point your finger,
You say "look! the horizon, at last we've reached the bay",
I still remember that day.

The grains of sand, drifting beneath our feet,
Your hands in mine, this azure sea, I feel complete,
We snorkel, we ride, we surf over the tide,
Walking the boardwalk under the sunset, we espy the dolphins play,
I still remember that day.

Further down the street, we stumble upon a nun,
She points the way to her church, to the north, the white one,
In the twilight sky, bells ringing high, you sing hymns,
With reflected candlelight in your serene eyes, I watch you pray,
I still remember that day.

Now we had been out all day, we were ravenous,
Entering a bar, on cloud nine our happiness,
Shots after shots, we crush everyone at the game of darts,
For us champions, next rounds were on the house we didn't pay,
I still remember that day.

Today after 25 years, you're going through our album,
Your sudden grin, the reason I can't fathom,
You walk up to me briskly, show me an old photo of us both,
And before you ask, I read you this poem and at the end, I say,
"Yes my love, I still remember that day".
A beautiful story from one of those days that we never forget, that are worth remembering forever.
The poem starts with the day and gradually ends towards the night but what lies inside it can only be comprehended by reading it ;)

Wish You Were All Here
Sumedh Apr 2019
Wish we were the stars we always knew,
Wish we had the spars we kept due,
Wish we didn't end up like we have now,
Shouldn't have crossed the line,
Broken the unsaid vow.
My Alter Ego.....

You had secrets you told lies,
You jumped to conclusions; That wasn't wise,
You still proclaimed you loved me didn't you?
Now you're empty, you're all alone,
Still haven't apologized but shouldn't you?
My Companion.....

Were you involved, this wouldn't have happened,
Were you caring, our relationship wouldn't have dampened,
Were you sensitive, you could've felt my pain,
Nevermind nothing's gonna change now,
For I'm now left with this permanent blain.
The Patriarch.....

All is said and done,
All I want back is that downright fun,
All the endless moments would never part,
Your loss can never be restored,
It's still the missing piece of my heart.
My Hound.....

Here I'm done, I have nothing more to say,
Here I'm quiet, right on my way,
Here goes the last breath I'll ever breathe,
Wish we could've made amends before I leave,
Well at least from my side I sheathe.
Myself.....
Well if you're wondering that the name "Wish You Were All Here" doesn't really justify the poem, take a look at the composition of each stanza carefully....
Every stanza tells about a different aspect, rather entity but collectively the poem passes on a single message yet many possible significances.....

Perplex Love
Sumedh Nov 2018
I was staring at the stars,
I could see my shattered dreams,
I walk alone, a lonely path,
Making my way through all the screams.....
I have changed
I washed my sins
I regret
My whole world spins
I wanna turn back time to make things right,
To the start, where it all begins.

Going ten years back,
It was raining that whole day,
You were piercing through the crowd,
When you stumbled upon my way.....
You were in hurry
You were late
You were sprinting
Towards the closing gate
You were a transfer student, we were in the same class,
I still wonder, if our meeting was a frail fate.

I hope after all these years,
I could feel that warmth again,
Today we're meeting, can you hear the thunder?
It's raining, yes it feels like the same rain.....
I am incomplete
I've lost my beat
I'll win you back
Today's gotta be it
I finally see it, your shadow towards me it's heading,
I am determined I am calm, I see you're still beautiful you're still warm,
All these years we were apart, our lives deteriorating.....
For us both I'll make it count, I promise it'll be worth the waiting.
I tried something new, changed my stanza pattern a bit this time,
Just a complicated story, quite relatable. I hope my poem reaches you all and you enjoy reading it !

PAIN
Sumedh Jan 2019
PAIN
Everything I've tried but I've always failed,
Judging myself through all these strange eyes,
I can't stand I don't talk I've lost my voice,
But I will bear this dispair;
Rage pumping up my vein it's
PAIN
Left alone lost my phone outta zone,
Can't contact feels detached,
Ain't no one to help I know I'm on my own,
Though I'll try I won't cry;
Searching known faces in this rain it's
PAIN
Feeling hungry but I know I've got no money,
Empty jars empty drawers no refrigerator,
Feeling faint it's all same since I lost my mater,
Stealing food, raw or stewed;
Getting caught up in this chain it's
PAIN
No motivation not literate no education,
Not employed jobless life feels like vacation,
Jobs interviews but no news so disappointed,
There's no earning empty wallet empty pocket,
Lost identification left with hesitation;
Can't survive financial drain it's
PAIN
At the end I got nothing to say,
Choose your path walk along make your way,
Give your best your hardwork will pay,
Don't lose it don't you ever give up;
My life's over but don't get caught up in my stain it's
PAIN
It's PAIN living through all your hardships but that's life, have no regrets.
Hope y'all like this one
