Yellow Ladybird
aar505n Jul 2014
A yellow ladybird waiting for the light to turn red.
Patiently awaiting what's to come.

She knows better than to make rude gestures at the light.
It won't make it change any quicker.

She knows she can spend her time better than being an angst-ridden insect cynically hating phonies.

It's true patience is a virtue
and she sticks by this principle.
No matter what they say,
a principle's a principle.

The yellow ladybird knows a lot of things.
A delightful delinquent who enjoys reading eloquent literature
and can tell you who painted that pretty picture.

But she is still just a yellow ladybird.
Still only learning how to operate in this world.

But when the light turns red, then she will know.
Know more than she does now.

Soon the yellow ladybird will see the light, be it the light she would've liked or not, I can not say.

Only she can decide if the waiting was worth it.
And for her poor soul, I hope it was.
Experimenting a bit. I know it doesn't rhyme much but still a poem.
Interrupt what you will.
there was a little ladybird she was very sad
she had lost her spots the only ones she had
noticed by an hedgehog who was walking by
he had seen the ladybird as she began to cry
then he ask the ladybird what was the reason why
i have lost my spots she said and dont know what to do
hedgehog said dont worry ill find them again for you
so they started looking in the forest ground
when hedgehog saw a leaf and on it something round
i have found your spots he said now you can have them back
then of they walked together down the forest track.

I wish I was a ladybird
Scuttling on a ledge,
Never thinking, never worrying,
Just living on the edge.

Free to stay or free to fly,
Whatever I decide,
The world is what I make of it,
I simply ride the tide

But I am like that ladybird,
Free to fly and go.
Do I need to get the timing right?
No!

Jump! Fly! Go!

The ladybird queen in spotted black
And dark wings floating down her back
Leant leisurely over the bedroom frame
This ladybird might one day leave home.

She lifted gown of crimson silk
And hopped around as if bespoke
The dress stretched to her biggest toe
And golden hair about her glowed.

Oh darling ladybird I do love thee
To see you dancing fair and free
On your highest bedroom wall
A special insects for us all.

Love to Evelyn ***

...I Am "LadyBird"...
absorbing the world
surrounding and embracing me
I float high above in plain sight
while singing so very sweetly
I spread my wings so light
alive in song upon my feet
I fly through my words from within
yet every thing is changing
from the past to my future
my destination may be unknown
and sometimes I can’t please
my own unique pattern of flight
yet so graceful I sail with
my mouth quenching desire
of life pouring in my fountain
every single dripping thought
and every single splashing word
is my thirst to write
I am known as "LadyBird"
I soar through life's wonderful sky
spreading my coloful wings
powered by imagination; I fly

Fine arts is my major in school...I have enjoyed art, photography and of course writing ever since I was young; and I still do... I know this may sound odd but no matter the form of art; even if its just scribbled notes I keep all my rough drafts... My mom she calls me the "paparazzi" of the family...I am always snapping picture... Can you believe I have over 900  and counting; notebooks, sketchpads, and loose-leaf binders full of all my ideas, sketches and odd thoughts that may pop in my head?.. I've been collecting since I was 6 years old.... ART; any type was and still is my passion today...  I try to carry a notebook, sketchpad and my camera everywhere I go to jot down or capture the little things that come to my mind.... Sometimes my notes don't even make a bit of since but it is the creativity I put into them that makes it fun.... When ever I feel I've hit a writers or artist BLOCK I go through my notebooks.  I'm always seeing something inspiring that may take me to another world of imagination. I think I could probably write a book or two with all the thoughts I've collected..
Yep That's Me ... LadyBird

10 spotted Ladybird

The ladybird is a beautiful creature and when he sits on your clothes it means he's glad to meet Yah
I would search for the ones with the black spots
I'd catch each one and show everyone on the street what I'd got
Everywhere I looked I thought of the ladybird and all the spots a lot
Oh do you know how many spots you have and why
When you put your shoes on and pants shirt and tie
When you're on your bike just going for a ride
Do you notice the difference in things and use them to spy
If people stopped and looked at each other would they be dominant or come to see everyone is a being that has to try
theres a ladybird in my garden he has lots of spots
climbs up on the plants and along the pots
he walks around all day busy as can be
this lovely little creature roaming oh so free
he sits upon  on the leaves  underneath the sun
up and down he goes having lots of fun
he is very happy and passes on the hours
roaming round the plants in and out flowers
so beautiful  a creature so beautiful is he
roaming round my garden  is where he loves to be
