i believe
that you can tell a lot about a person
by the number of email drafts in their inbox;

the number of times they had words to say but soon thought better of it
and retreated back into the silence;

the number of times their heart and soul were screaming,
begging to be heard,
but were soon vanquished with the click of one shiny "X"
or a backspace button;

the number of times they opened the closet
to pull out a skeleton,
only to come to their senses
and shut it back in again.

i believe that you can tell a lot about a person
by the number of email drafts in their inbox.

but maybe that's just me.

i tend to dwell on unsaid words.

(a.m.)
i was logged into my email and saw that a lot of my drafts were new messages with nothing in them. i had thought of something to send, then thought better of it, and i began to wonder what i had wanted to say at those moments.

let me tell you a story
about a girl
who ties brilliant little bows
onto boxes of poetry,
who puts prose in an envelope
and seals it with a kiss.

her walk is steady,
not at all deterred by the mind inside her skull:
a garden
constantly blooming
with white lilacs
and occasional weeds
(because you cannot always control the plants you grow),
but she waters them all the same.

and if you've ever stood in the eye of a hurricane,
or the vortex of a tornado,
then you know what it's like to see her tear herself apart
even if everyone else is screaming at her
to keep herself together.

but if you've ever seen a sunshower,
then you know what it's like to see her smile
and laugh
and pick up the pieces
with unyielding grace.

and god,
i live for those sunshowers.

I came at you from every angle
& you relished
in my organic nutrients.

I saw your flower explode,
showering me
with radiant color,
it was magical.

I am in love.

You ripped my heart in shreds
For so many years
I'm hear to tell you
I'm crying no more tears
I see no more love
That it's all over now
How will I survive?
Forgetting you, that's how.
I'm done with the pettiness
And stupid lies
Such immaturity
You get no more tries

He's hurt me
Cut me open wide
Taken out my heart
And destroyed my pride
I want to forget
I want to start anew
But I'm not sure I can
I'm not sure what to do
It's like my life has ended
The past eight years
So much pain
Not worth my tears
But I'm gonna cry
I can't hold back
It hurts so much
To see all that I lack

I have my doubts
I'm really not sure
I'll figure it out
I'll find a cure
For my broken heart
Unwillingly shattered
Torn all apart
Bruised and battered
I'll pick up the pieces
And get up off the floor
I won't look back
While I walk out the door

What's the point?
She has been honest...
But have you trusted?
Questions...
A bird breaks cage finally fly away
Takes a breath with full of oxygen
Certainly circulation of,
blood picked up too high
A rising speed accelerate hopes
Try to set a direction to nestle
A dream to survive his children
who are still waiting for him there
A fear of fire still,
changes his direction
A will to wish him to survive,
till to reach at nest.

This is a hope poem..
where there is a will there is a way.

Keep doing what you're doing
you sower,
oh, how you sow.
You play others
as if they are fools,
injecting them
to steal their money,
cozying up to drain sweet love.
You drop balloons & break hearts.
Think that's funny?
Well, I'm God & I'm really ******.
I will reap,
soon sower.
