Poetic T
It was the vessel  of thought it bled
Like wine from my fingertips,  scratching
Upon ****** white it did bleed.

It was consummated never to be as
It was before deflowered from white
To shades of thought.

It penetrated deep and pain was spelled out.
It felt ***** used as it was like others just pushed
To the side scrunched up like yesterdays news
Paper then thrown away.

Thoughts not worthy, just lying naked in the
Bin for all to see. just laying there still, *****
Like tears of ink had spilled over the page.

I arrived in the autumn of your life
the bright young thing
the eternal optimist
the one who allowed naivety
to shine too far

Never acknowledging the lies
woven intricate tales
you spoon fed me
every one

I'm awake now
but poison
takes time to die

You are my coffee
Not just in the morning
You keep me awake even at night
With thought of you that's never ending
Thank you for chosing this piece for the Daily.  This is my first so I am so happy, grateful and more inspired to write.

we try and re-try
the methods said to reckon
we tie and re-tie
the threads of deadly weapons

the lies that we buy
the regrets of our progression
we try to rely
on the bets of indiscretion

the light that we see by
ever darkening where we're steppin'
we try to defy
a heaven that only beckons

our thoughts are the ribbons
wrapped around the words like a bow
like a present of misgiving
that only the giving could bestow
it's hard to live with the living
when we die with what we know
it's the wit of the unwitting
it's the only gift we show

When he kissed me, I thought he’d conquer the parts of him too much like his mother.
I thought he’d lose the pieces of militant voices inside his head on the curves of my hips.
I think he was trying to bury himself in me…
I know that I let him.
He punctuated every apology with the same melancholy mitigation.
Like a true addict, I told him that was enough.

It wasn’t.
It still isn’t
but I always miss him.
He helped  build my heart from scratch,
and I will always love him.

I hope you never reach
The day
Where you are lost for words
Because they're tangled up in
Agony.

I hope you never reach
The point
Where your innocence of
The world is
Robbed.

I hope you choose
Your friends and
Lovers wisely
So that you never have to
Discover what it feels like
To see those who you believed
Would take a bullet for you
Dance behind the
Trigger.
I am very fortunate that this has made the daily poems! I am completely new to this site (about a week or two in) and it is truly an honor to have my work recognized. Thank you guys for supporting!
