When the
world grew
out of focus,
she was home.
Karisa Brown Feb 2018
Outlets are a must
I bust my *** off
Just to watch another day fade
I think not

I can't help but fill my spare time
With the verses that wrangle inside
This caged lion

Spliting hearts for a living
is hard work I tell ya?!
Karisa Brown Feb 2018
Maybe she's my dark love
And I'm trying to make her
More luminescent than she wants
Karisa Brown Feb 2018
You have to capture it
While its still alive
This unspoken poetry
That lives inside of me

Untamed
Unrestrained

I want to see you
Nestle it like a
Newborn baby
Wrap it around your tongue
And taste it

After it escapes to enter the pen
From digestion
To clocked
It aides us all
Birth your §oul to me
Karisa Brown Feb 2018
I didn't have time
to hit snooze
I was enthused
by my muse
Her name is
  POETRY

She crawls and beats
rhytms out my mouthpiece
It vibrates with such
a chase and win
with the narrative
of my pen

Gravity cushions
as I let
my body flow

I stand still
inside a quantum physics
Parallel universe
Just Me and The Verse
Karisa Brown Feb 2018
I just need some
Different points of views

Sometimes the galaxies
Are on my shoes

Fitting perfectly
Into this sky of hues

Like im navigating winds
With the palm of my hands

Bare and free
Karmatic sleep
