With these hands
I've written stories
I've penned my secrets
And shared my glory

With these hands
I've assisted my friend
I've patted his back
And made amends

With these hands
I've lifted a child
I've caressed her face
And witnessed a smile

With these hands
I've earned my keep
I've labored long hours
And rested my feet

With these hands
I've held you tightly
I've loved you gently
And given politely

With these hands
I've dried my tears
I've bandaged my wounds
And conquered my fears

With these hands
I've prayed to our Creator
I've thanked Him for this gift
And a Love that's greater

I remember the scarlet taste
from biting my lips.
I remember the salty water,
that my eyes had dripped.
I remember the silent screams,
that had rang in my head.
But most of all, I remember
all those desperate words I never said.
I know I write a lot of poems on words. But it's because I feel so strongly about them! We could change the world if only we spoke more kindly to one another and said what needed to be said. Holding words in hurts too much anyway.

Luscious, average, thick or thin

Disposable income or income disposed
Hair covered up or shoulders exposed
Skin of all colors, some dark and light
Haven't we created such a versatile life?

It seems we've replaced different with bad
Condemning differences we're lucky to have
How boring if we had one season, one flower
How boring, a rainbow with only one color
Listen to the voices of present, past;
look to the future:
nothing will last.

Except for God's grace, eternally true,
take it now: it's meant for you.
A short poem about God's grace.

Whether to have dessert
Is not even a question.
Not to indulge in sweets?
Don’t even make that suggestion.

Having no apple pie
Or luscious lemon meringue
Would be a real ******—
As we say in slang.

Right out of the oven:
Hot cinnamon rolls...
Or donuts right out of the fryer--
With or without holes...

Crepes filled with strawberries,
With a dollop of whipped cream...
When I talk about sweets,
I never run out of steam.

Don’t forget about cakes,
And anything with custard...
Chocolate in every form...
And--I’m getting flustered--

Fresh homemade cookies
Of any delicious kind...
Chocolate fudge or divinity...
Yikes, I’m losing my mind!

Dessert bars, oh, my goodness,
Chewy, crumbly, flaky...
Banana, zucchini, and pumpkin
Bread—soft and cakey...

Cupcakes topped with thick frosting,
And filled with chocolate ganache...
Creamy Crème brûlée...
Boy, aren’t we getting posh!

A sugary German plum cake,
A Danish butter ring,
And Greek galaktoboureko
Give me a reason to sing!

Chocolate frosted brownies...
Lefse with sugar and butter...
My sweet tooth is growing larger
With every word that I utter.

Some people say that these sweets
Might be the cause of my death.
Then let me be holding a cookie
When I take my last breath!

running in the dark
away from the night
away from the silence
looking for the light
looking for your eyes

stars are crying for you
ashes of them rain
got lost in the sounds of my pain

my train's out of its rail
it's going down the hell
tomorrow or today
it won't ever change
I'm the lost one
you're already gone
some how, some way
some where in some day
you and I
we were in love
when you were already gone
when the one you love is gone all you can do is to get lost in your mind.
the more you think the worse it gets.
