Only one man in history claimed " a giant leap for Mankind"
while taking a small step for a Man
and I think he was the first poet to walk on the Moon.
( his day job was an astronaut )
And he left his boot prints in the Moon dust as witness to his first hand experience to his poetry.

Some days I want to hold you forever,
Others all I can do is think about the skin
underneath your clothes

The Winter Jester
Vast and unexplored
You used to be clean and clear like a mirror
Now we humans have polluted you
We explore space
But leave 95 percent of our own world unexplored
We think we should run away
But why not run down?
We spend 18.4 billion dollars to explore space
Yet we don’t even spend a billion on the unexplored world
Oh, ocean your mysteries may never be discovered

You don't understand
When I'm sitting here
There are only so many posts
So many apps
So many pages in books
And marks on my shopping list
You're having fun, in the palm of your hands
A game in your face
While I sit here
Wondering
If you really care
If you'll ever show it
Be spontaneous
Ditch technology
And waiver the others
Who play with you for hours
But eat at their houses
Forget about you most of the day
And me, I'm here
Watching, waiting, wishing
That you'll look away
For awhile and see
My heart bleeding
In my hands
Wanting you to put it back
And kiss me for awhile....

Consciousness aside,
In my thoughts the ghosts reside-
Never enough time.

Winter introduced itself like a
Sudden death in the family.
A -28 degrees celsius day has fingers
Thin enough to reach through glass,
Leaving its ice on the inside of
Windows.

I find candles and carry firewood,
Preparing for a cold one.
Out here, blackouts can last for a day.
My iPad and portable modem have
Battery enough for one
Poem.

Such are my priorities.
I empty my fridge into the snow,
Thanking the gods
For my beer.
Don't try to reach me. I'm remembering
Life from centuries ago.

Bonbonpapier

Madness
Ich finde Bonbonpapier
tief in meiner Jacken-
tasche, klebrig und
federleicht

Die Stille knistert
genüsslich, und
das Zucker brützelt

Es sind die Worte
und eine Sehnsucht,
die ich auf meiner
Zunge schmecke,
und nicht die Süße
des Bonbons
