I have once again, left
open the door to
my heart and
the wasps have found
their way in.
The fluttering in my bones
was not from the
butterflies.
It was the sharp sting of
falling in love
with you.
Your hands and fingers
so very strong
Yet filled with tenderness
as you strumned my song
A wonderful guitarist
I loved to watch you play
As the music notes
played
carried you away
To a place so peaceful
it was beautiful to see
As you strummed the piece of music you'd written
for me
Missing you. Missing you play

The Lenora
I am drowning as if I have never lived
Grasping ahold of nothingness tainted in the air
Gasping for the love I once sought

In a constant search for the answers
Which lead all but nowhere
At last I have learned to make that nowhere

“please be naked”

she stands in her doorway wearing just a gown,
I walk in the house, dumbstruck by beauty,
up in her room undoing the bow, the shield simply slides down
caressing her curves, stroking down to the floor,
intertwined bodies craving the touch of the other,
joined as one in the gentle acts of love and lust,
romanticised ideals of perfection and soft rhythm,
delicate groans as two become one,
the broken poet, for the moment, is gone,
my drug addiction of you, just wanting more,
As my heart bleeds, love begins to pour.

“please be naked”.
this poem is influenced by The 1975 instrumental song "please be naked". i regularly think of this song as romanticising the act of *** and the trust required with it rather than what most songs make it today. despite having no lyrics the song speaks volumes to me and id definitely recommend it to anyone. stay safe and live well. you may have read a poem
of a gentleman i met
and i bet that you're all wondering
it anything's happened yet
now, i'll only say this once
so listen while you can
i just wasn't enough of a lady
to satisfy the gentleman

- p. winter
a followup to my previous poem "the gentleman"
"Would you ever fall in love again?"
Never I said. Never he repeated.
And we fell in love again,
Though completely in vain.
Never again."
isn't this
the greatest tragedy of all?
two people finding themselves in
each other's bodies,
only to get lost again.
