Cry
I wanted to cry you a river.
                                                                                          But then I remembered
                                                                                        you're a good swimmer.

hidee makayla
she doesn't scare me.
but sometimes stabs me.
right through the heart.
we call this spoken art.

the way those words can burn,
the way those words return.
she wins battles of the tongue,
quick breaths of the lung.

she puts me down
makes me drown
yet still thine's friend
our friendship cannot end.

but one day I'll stand
I'll stand up for myself.

I'll burn her horrid comments
let the hatred suffice.
by then I'll be sixteen
all ready for seventeen

when I'll finally rid her
I'll finally be dapper,
look down on her insides
her insecurity reveals.

Dagoth I Am
Don't know if I believe in god
But sometimes I pray
Because the way I was raised
Keeps me afraid

A scientist that has to have his way
I subsist of a steady diet of shame

I hope I can forgive me
For having the nerve to exist
I hope someone can help me
Make some sense of this

I work a ten hour grave
From nine to seven
And I can't fall asleep
Until eleven past eleven

There's no drug that I can take
That will keep me from being awake
Past my, past my bedtime

Truckers are the blood in the veins of the body of America
States are the arms and the legs and the brains and the eyes
There's a disease spreading from ***** to *****
And you are the white blood cell that fixes the problem

You don't know your own power
You don't know what you're worth
You don't recognize your valor
And until you do, nothing you do will matter

For the price of a smile,
How much are you willing to give?

Can you walk the plank into the sea,
Only to fall into a wet mess?
Can you perform in front of masses,
Only to forgot the lyrics?
Can you spend time planning surprises,
Only to have it cancelled because of the weather?

Can you do all these and more,
Just to see her smile?
Days, months, sometimes years,
For a crescent on her face?

For me,
It may be a year,
Or just a day.
But for a smile,
"How long?", they said.
"No matter.", I said.
Just a smile from you, indeed,
For all I know that's all I need.

What about you?
What can you do?
What will you do?
Just to see them smile?
Just something I'd been pondering on in the past few days.

What will you do to see your partner smile? I don't mean a casual smile, but a genuine one. Are you willing to act silly, make time, etc? To go leaps and bounds just for a sweet smile of your loved one?

Can you do it?

I just hope God sees my smile as a Thank You because this smile it's a Thank You I say to God without even knowing I'm thanking him.

like a supernova
you shined brighter than all the stars combined
you illuminated the universe better than any other sun
you outshined the entire galaxy

like a supernova
it was ephemeral & a blackhole was all you left behind
******* everything and all the light was gone
an inescapable matter of gravity

an immense and tormenting agony
*you ruined my entire galaxy.
isn't it ironic that the source of the brightest light can emit such darkness?

She's a supernova
that trails stardust in her wake,
a constellation of contradictions
plucked from outer space.

And all you can think
to call her is
"pretty".
Basically ^.^
