In the vociferous world, silence takes a backseat
Loud pompous etiquette takes the centre stage
Words, weighed with utter *******
Seems to find a very patient hearing from every circle
It’s a domino effect, where one by one falls in line
Lines so wobbly, as the words have very little shelf life
People mesmerized by the pomp and the fragility
Silence is just a silent spectator,
Watching the whole world participating in dissemination
Of the hollowed idioms and phrases
But silence is strong enough to hold its ground
Having a quiet laugh and waiting for redemption
Till that time, the power of silence is acquired by few

You are a sailor
Drift way from the harbor
Pull up the anchor
That binds you down
Set sail towards the horizon
Take off the blindfold
And hoist the sail
Let the wind be your guide
Sun and the Moon your compass
Steering through uncharted waters
Sometimes calm weather
Or, inclement weather, rocking your ship
Tackling the deep waters with alacrity
Unfathomable depths, yet the ship sails
Cutting through the waters
The saline water, which is a part of you
Seagulls guide you towards the shore
Anchoring at the preferred destination
Every grain of sand cushions your feet
Welcoming you to the island of bliss
Cut off from the mainland
Yet, helping you connect with yourself
Now it’s time to unwind
And join the party after a successful voyage
Ready to set sail for another expedition
As a sailor, cruise till the end

Bold and bright,
It strikes at night,
Illuminating,
Giving sight,

Followed by thunder,
hidden wonder,
heartfelt raindrops,
Taking flight.

Lost for years,
with faithful fears,
always close,
Still in sight.

If I'm stuck,
Out in the storm,
I'll be home soon,
To keep you warm.
Emotion is nice.

I look at myself and all I see is grey
I try so hard to pray it away
I know it's cliche
But I can't stand my own face

It's sad eyes
They see through my lies
My oversized thighs
My failure to revise
I despite this disguise

I look at myself and all I see is disappointment
Try harder I mumbled in exhaustion
What a collision
My own derision

One day, soon, I will look at myself and all I will see is joy
My reflection, I will enjoy not want to destroy
I will not be coy
As the sun dawns
All will be gone I vowed

I look at myself today and all I see is hope
For I am proud
I want to scream it loud in crowd
I am proud of me and you
And with that statement I feel so new.
