How sharp the frost
That falls on the summer rose
As an unnatural winter
Covers a hot June land
And honey bees search for what is lost
In a place where nothing now grows
As tears fall as acid, for here we were.
A billion grains of sand.

Please just slow down
Work our way up
I don't want to fall down
If we hit a speedbump

Let us not rush now
It is so worth the wait
I keep having to tell you
We will not be late

There is no time limit
To complete our romance
When given the option to walk or run
I would prefer if we chose to dance

Do not hurry along my dear
You will skip past
The beautiful scenery that is life
It flies by too fast

Enjoy the connection we have
Ignore the pressure from outside
As long as we are both headed to the same destination
It shouldn't matter at which pace we decide to ride
Another oldie, about wanting to take it slow in a relationship.

life can
be so unfair
but our souls came
with blueprints to bloom
—with DNA to brave
the swamps of
despair

I tried to hide my feelings
By dating another girl

That was dumb and it didn't work
Because you're the only one I see

I can't hide my feelings
So I'll just stop trying

I'll tell you any chance I get
That you look wonderful

I'll tell you anytime I can
That you are wonderful

I'll make it so well known
That you're my one and only

I can't look at anyone else
The same way I look at you

You're one of a kind
And I wish I could give you the world

You are so close
Yet so far

So, I won't hide my feelings
I'll yell them to the world

In a peaceful voice
That only you can hear

You are my best friend
But I wish you were more

I can wait.
I'm such a freaking mess when it comes to this stuff.

In the morning
Frisky
Dancing around in
Bounds and leaps
...
In the evening
Pizza shame
Only seen by
90's cartoons
shorty and oldie, from a compilation called bedroom sessions
