You find yourself from discovering the things you are not.

you are not what they call you.
you are what you call yourself.
you are not the things you failed at.
you are the lessons you learn from your experiences.
you are not the brands you wear.
you are the things you read to inform yourself.
you are not the circumstances you were born into.
you are what you make of your circumstances.
you are not depression, anxiety or eating disorder.
you are the every inch of the smile you wear despite that struggle.
you are not the people who left you behind.
you are the person you choose to become when they are gone.
you are not the ideals society imposes upon you.
you are the truth you honor despite what they tell you.
you are not the rubble they discarded.
you are the empire you built from the ruins they left behind.

My heart
Is a happy drunk
A little too open
A little too optimistic
It's over in the corner of the bar
Playing poker
Screaming at the top of it's lungs
I'M ALL IN
When it's never
To this day
Had a winning hand

My heart
Is a sad drunk
A little too lonely
A little too caught up in tears
It's over at the counter
Forcing the bartender to take its keys
Because it would rather not go home
Than go home alone again

My heart
Is a reckless drunk
A little too unbalanced
A little too impaired
It's over by the door
Making everyone nervous
A little too good at scaring people away
A little too far gone

Like you
A little too far gone
Turn your head
Shuffle away and pretend you don't notice
The breakdown of a heart
Too drunk on feelings
To know when to stop

Can you feel the ache in my chest?
Can you touch the cracks in my heart?
Can you tell where my soul begins,
And where it's been torn all apart?

I'm made of sharp edges and pieces fit with super glue
Can you feel it?
I'm a heartless enigma and a soulless slice of truth
Can you feel it?
Enemies make the best friends and now I hate you
Can you feel it?

Lies are like a bullet to my heart, filling me with holes
A feeling of emptiness overwhelms me, a space too bold
Trying to hold on tight to a tangle too tied to unfold
Lost in a web of pain too damaged to be controlled

I'm made of broken glass, chipped and shattered
Can you feel it?
I'm an empty shell of something that once mattered
Can you feel it?
Pieces are falling, a love now bruised and battered
Can you feel it?

The harmony of injustice is ringing in my ears
A lullaby of sweet nothings and my childhood fears
A common trend unfolds, a chorus of chants and tears
A pain ripples through my body and the monster finally appears

Can you feel it?
Thank You All for your wonderful comments.
I'm so grateful to have gotten the daily!
Can you feel it?

When I met you
You took my breath away
In retrospect
I should have just walked away
And started breathing again
Losing what you thought you once had
is the most difficult pain to endure,

Realising you never had it to begin with
does not ease the pain - recovery
it does not assure.

I seclude myself in the dark pit,
So that no one could hurt me and push me to hell for my demise,
And so I am here sitting and crouch in melancholy,
As the beating of my heart join the euphony of silence & darkness in unison,
I feel numb and yet happy with the tranquility,
But suddenly I felt the tears racing down my cheeks and then I start wailing,
I breakdown in fragments and pick it by myself,
I am gradually dying with no console,
Even my shadow left me in vain,
My soul scream for help,
But end up with nothingness,
I reach out my hand hoping for someone to lift me up,
But nobody is there for me,
I only got my will to keep me on my feet,
I only got my faith to stand up and move forward.

I am a front line soldier
fighting in a war with you
with your smile,
fighting the feelings growing inside
like monsters they are eating me alive
weakly stepping towards my end,
my eyes full of thorns are bleeding,
hurt by the teeth biting my soul
falling under your cannonball eyes
dashed to the ground
shattered like glass
sparrows of Death eating me piece by piece
under the red moon
again dying because of your smile
and your cold hands.
and all that remains
of what I am
is
*you.
shooting over and over again

Lose not hope my friend
For even the butterfly was once a caterpillar
Today it flies around with pride
Displaying it's wonderful hues and incredible beauty
But not too long ago it was a creepy crawley
So remember you might be crawling today
But some day you shall soar
So keep trying and don't give up
For all good things in life take time

Everlasting  joys are flowing like a river,
More abundant life, the Comforter has come.
Glory! Hallelujah! He abides for ever,
Spread it far and wide, the Comforter has come.

Comforter divine, blessed Holy Ghost,
Promise of the Father, fill this waiting host;
Overcoming sin, purity within,
Joy to overflowing - this is Pentecost.

Saints of old they tarried in the upper chamber,
Thirsting for the Spirit all with one accord;
Tongues of fire descended , we shall ever remember;
Power of Pentecost that brought the glory down.

So to-day we're waiting , for the gift from heaven,
Send the latter rain, Oh! fill us now we pray,
Purifying Fire now purge us from all leaven,
Comforter divine , descend on us to-day.

When the Holy Ghost makes His abode within us,
All desires for worldly pleasures fade away;
Fleshy lust and anger crucified within us,
Power to overcome,He gives us from that day.

I linger in the pain

Turning my chest to charcoal

You use to reside on my lips

Now lipstick goes unsmeared

And a smile not shown

You use to reside beside me

Now my hand is empty

My feet cold

My bed vacant

My laughter unheard

My beauty dissipated

And overall

You use to reside in my happiness

Now I am only half of what was once

A whole.

I miss your kiss
scalding the valley of
my skin with your lips,
cooling it after your
tongue glaze them.

kiss me once again
like you used to do...
