The reason why I always forget,
Why my life would always reset
To some kind of euphoric state;
In a phase of unflawed perfection

Your voice: it's some pleasing sound
And to this, I am happily bound
'Tis the drug that I truly love most
'Tis the crime—this crime is why I live

My thoughts would always stop with you
But one thing I regrettably knew:
Your thoughts you have, when about me—
Opposite from mine: in that exact direction

Yet my love: so overly ignited—
In addition, obviously unrequited
Yet let this be known: that I won't give up
That my all in all: I will to give
With a "I" because I'm pretty sure there will be more to come.

the     way        he
tilted    his    head
was mesmerizing
the      fact      that
he  actually cared
was      surprising
the    manner    of
his        eloquence
was     tantalizing

my heart melted
under the intensity of his glinting eyes
his eyes being my flame
keeping me warm
being my light
the moment of his attention
that would soon blow away
the only reason for my entirety
but the light switched on
he looked me in the eye yet again
came so close i held my breath
and he blew my candle away...
My very first poem on hello poetry. Yay!
*greeting all other hello poetry peeps*
Inspired by Romeo and Juliet. Not the plot of it, but it just makes me think of vanilla scented candles hanging on chandeliers. Weird? Tell me about it...

As I draw your lips near,
Embracing all adversities,
Keeping true a premise,
Let us not set a feeling free.
Let us hold it tight perfected,
Together, like burning suns
Imploding, as final bursts
Of energies, a theory,
A star rid of infinities.*

I hardly remember
a ******* thing
about that day
before gazing into his eyes
once again, for the first time

rushing toward the exit
running from the baggage claim;
it was all a blur,
as walked through those doors
all I remember was the vastness
of the first sight,
stepping into the bright, unfamiliar place
& nothing else, but him

I scanned the crowd
the strange faces waiting
for loved ones
emotion thick enough to touch
in the air,
but just to my right
in the front
with his body pressed up against the metal bar,
I saw him

it was the first time I saw his face
not through a photo or webcam
in a time that was so long it ached
I think I lost my breath
did I leave my things behind when I ran?
I don't remember,
I just ran to him

it was too surreal
I can't remember a moment between
seeing his face, & kissing his lips
nor what kind of kiss it was
or how long it lasted
I just couldn't fathom it
I was really there
it was really him
& it didn't matter where we were
it was all a wonderland
to me, I was holding his hand again
everything was bright & new
it was magic, pure magic
