Hell, isn't it?
Your insides yearning to flee.
Don't give me that look, you ****!
You deluded yourself, not me.

Didn't I warn you?
Didn't I tell you to stop?
But you said you could handle it.
You said you'll never tap.

But why is this house now empty?
Where did the warmth go?
I told you it will never be easy.
But you opted to start the show.

Now you left me with nothing.
As you ran yourself to hide.
You just proved again what a fool I am.
For trusting you sublime.

Welcome to the major leagues
You've paid your dues and made the team
Followed your heart now live the dream
Welcome to the major leagues

"Batter!" up you're in the box
Swing and miss your average drops
Always tomorrow it never stops
Welcome to the major leagues

A few bad games reputation fades
Rumors start, so do the trades
Now a question when once an ace
Welcome to the major leagues

Bounce around from town to town
Look for an edge on the low down
Needles pills always around
Welcome to the major leagues

Back on track to be a winner
Pressure mounts contracts get bigger
**** test finds you, hey go figure
Welcome to the major leagues

Adidas, Nike, gatorade,
Endorsments start to drift away
Suspension doiled out 40 games
Welcome to the major leagues

Conference called speak from the heart
Media tears you apart
Promise you'll make another start
Welcome to the major leagues

Asterix on your legacy
Move back home, hang up your cleats
Embarrased,  beat and in defeat
Welcome to the major leagues

sleeping bag
i am willing to sacrifice
my entire social and academic life
to make something big
and meaningful
that only i would really understand
but i can’t right now because
there are important people counting on me
to succeed in this other dimension of life
that might not even matter in the end
i feel weak
for not pursuing this thing i want to make
or take the great american road trip i want to take
and seriously what’s the point
what are we doing
i’m so tired
i'm so tired
We sat under an old thorn-tree
And talked away the night,
Told all that had been said or done
Since first we saw the light,
And when we talked of growing up
Knew that we'd halved a soul
And fell the one in t'other's arms
That we might make it whole;
Then peter had a murdering look,
For it seemed that he and she
Had spoken of their childish days
Under that very tree.
O what a bursting out there was,
And what a blossoming,
When we had all the summer-time
And she had all the spring!

Darkness

Dacy Maly
The darkness crept into her parted lips one night
A midnight intruder
Uninvited and unnoticed
The darkness spread its tar-black fingers
Through her veins and capillaries
It filled her lungs with soot
It was the heaviness behind her eyes
And the steel bar across her chest
Finally, the darkness slithered into her mind
And by the time she realized it was there
She could no longer remember
How to let the light in

theseare allmywords
the fire
slowly burned
around us
like the whiskey
that we drank
to ignore it.
we were always drunk,
not drunk on love
but drunk on the idea
that somehow
we could make it work.
let’s confess that
you can shift your gaze
away from the flames
as much as you please,
but you cannot
avoid the smoke
as you gasp for air.
I confess of my heart
to the waves in the sea
and roar with breaking waters
as they celebrate with me.

I dance through secret gardens
of lust and luscious greens
as we consider the what if's
and what might have been's.

I cast all my worried thoughts
into the celestial deep
before I lovingly glance up
at the stars and fall asleep...

lastly I wait , for an eternity
it would seem
until finally I find myself
in something better than a dream.
Here is to hope and other lovely illusions.
