One day I'll stop showing my weakness
And people will be too distant to break me
And I'll be sure that all my words are fake
And Silence is the key
It was not sadness
That caused the tears to fall,
But the transcendent fear
That belittled the crushing
Weight of the world.
We latch on to the things
Which destroy us:
Love,
Vanity,
Wealth,
*But what is the price we pay?
Iron cast and weighing me down,
These lungs filled with air,
Take me from the ground,
Lift me up above the clouds,
High above the moon,
The wind and rain are the only sounds.

Anchored to the seabed,
These lungs have filled with water,
Fish and memories swim through my head,
Watch me fall apart and rest,
A shipwrecked soul and covered in coral,
Locked away inside a treasure chest.

A desert storm and I'm still lost,
These lungs are filled with sand,
Each grain inhaled comes at a cost,
Flip me over like an hourglass,
Watch the time fall away,
Lungs die down and breaths never last.

You wrapped your arms around me
and whispered
that you missed me
so i held you tightly
and wondered
if you could hear my heart
whispering
that it missed you too.
You
are my reminder
that with
darkness
always comes *light.
And I am the sky.
I wanted to
dive
head first
into the abyss of your soul
I was ready to take the plunge
and from where I stood
I could see
the tides would be rough
but I didn't care
I wanted to drown in you.
There are as many ways to love
as there are people in this world,
and just as many ways to say
'I love you';

But there is only one way
to be in love -
only one way
to be true.

Rob
Am I just absurd
Or is it inbetween the words
That those tiny spaces shout
What this relationship’s about

The pause before the sigh
Or the sparkle in your eye
Just before you crack that smile
And once more put on the style
Of a life that’s just a breeze
And your role – of course, to please.

For I think it may be true
That, inbetween, you feel it too.
